You're right - their prevalence is overwhelming but "tattooed thug" or "tattooed reality star" is tabloid code. They're saying heavy accent, sunbeded tae f**k, unlikely to be massively academic etc

Having tatoos still definitely moves you nearer the red zone in the tit-o-meter of life.

Conclusion to a story I posted earlier

https://www.metro.news/gin-fuelled-woman-like-an-animal-in-jet-rampage/840182/

Quote

A WOMAN who acted like a ‘wild animal’ on an airliner after a drinking binge has escaped jail.

Charity worker Bernadette Briggs downed lager, vodka, whisky and nearly an entire bottle of gin before attacking cabin crew and passengers as the Thomas Cook flight from Manchester to Egypt was descending.

The 39-year-old from St Helens, Merseyside, stood up and began swearing and shouting.

When air stewardess Madison Preece asked her to sit down, she shouted: ‘F*** off’. Asked to consider other passengers, she said: ‘I’ll rip your f***ing head off,’ Manchester crown court heard.

She then punched Ms Preece and began shouting, swearing and swinging her arms before scratching a passenger and biting the captain as he tried to restrain her. She was taken to an Egyptian hospital after the plane landed.

Briggs, a carer for her autistic daughter, 19, admitted assault by beating, using threatening behaviour and being drunk on an aircraft. She was handed a six-month suspended sentence and given 250 hours of unpaid work.

Judge Timothy Smith said a custodial sentence would impact badly on her daughter.

But he told Briggs: ‘Your behaviour was quite simply disgraceful. Some passengers described you as acting like a wild animal — totally out of control.’

Not in any way disputing that the woman is a c**t. But why did the newspaper story refer to her as a 'mum'? Her kids weren't on board (it says she was travelling with her sister) so why is it relevant that she has previously spawned?

Maybe just giving the rest of us the heads up in case we run across them.

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has apologised to passengers for turning back a Tokyo-bound flight to LA four hours after taking off.

The airline confirmed a passenger boarded the wrong flight and notified the pilot who turned back to LAX.

A statement issued to US media from ANA said flight 175 left LAX at 11.36 am on Tuesday and returned to LAX at 7.33pm.

“During the flight, the cabin crew became aware that one of the passengers boarded the incorrect flight and notified the pilot,” the statement said. “As part of the airline’s security procedure, the pilot in command decided to return to the originating airport, where the passenger was disembarked.”

“ANA is researching the situation currently to determine how the passenger boarded the flight. ANA would like to express its apologies to the passengers for the inconvenience,” it said.

Adonis Cutchlow, of the LAX Police, told the LA Times there had been no criminal or illegal activity on board the plane.

The flight was carrying the model Chrissy Teigen and her musician husband John Legend.

Teigen tweeted the incident to her 9.2 million followers from the plane.

She claimed the passenger boarded at LAX airport with a ticket for United Airlines, although this was not confirmed by authorities.

Yeah, lets inconvenience the entire plane for the sake of one eejit who can't board the right flight.   Ranter Airways would have carried on to Tokyo, and then let the person get a flight back from there.  That would give them plenty of contemplation time to realise what a fuckwit they are.

A clothes designer was reportedly banned from two flights when he tried to fly to London from Iceland wearing eight pairs of trousers and ten shirts rather than pay for stowed luggage.

Ryan Carney Williams, who goes by the professional name Ryan Hawaii, was barred from British Airways and easyJet, The Times reported.

After a dispute with BA on January 10 he was arrested for refusing to leave the check-in desk. He was freed after giving a statement to police.

He tweeted: “Being held at Iceland Keflavik airport because I had no baggage put all the clothes on and they still won’t let me on. Racial profiling? Or . . . ”

This was followed by a video of him asking why he could not board and a staff member saying: “Do we need to call the police?”

When he rebooked a flight with easyJet the next day the same thing happened, prompting him to post: “And again! Refused from two flights in two days for no valid reason.”

Williams claimed he was told that the captain had heard of the incident and decided that he was not welcome.

He claimed he was told by BA staff that he would be allowed on board if he wore his extra clothes.

He tweeted: “Was only refused because of dispute the previous day over not having checked luggage and wearing all my clothes at once (which the airline said if I did so I could board). Then still refused me on.”

He argued he could not afford the excess baggage fee as he had been “left homeless in Iceland for over a week”.

Williams was eventually able to get a flight home on a Norwegian airline.

BA said that Williams had hand luggage but had not paid for a bag to go in the hold.

A spokeswoman said: “We do understand that our customers’ plans can change so they can choose to pay a fee at the airport if they need an extra bag. We explained our policy to our customer and arranged an alternative flight.”

An easyJet spokesman said: “The captain and the ground crew were concerned about reports from the previous day so we provided a refund and he travelled with another airline.”

Both airlines gave the traveller a refund after he complained.

Passengers are entitled to one piece of carry on hand luggage plus one accessory (e.g. handbag / laptop). Only additions allowed are: two layers of clothing (excluding four items of underwear) and one overcoat) and a pair of spectacles. Additional carry ons shall be charged at £60 per item.

"He spoke in a British accent"

Hmmm

A few holes in the story. The guy in the hi viz looks like a UK airport ground worker so why wasn't he thrown off at Gatwick? No news about what happened to him in Morocco either, it would only take a couple of phone calls.
