Times reporting that Thomas Miller and Jamie Docherty, who went to Shettleston with Cotter, are set to sign for Renfrew after appearing as trialists.

A quick google reveals that Cotter signed 16 players and had 4 remaining from last season, how many of them are still there?

The squad is coming along, a few more faces in this week and haven't been able to play any home friendlies as playing surface has been getting worked on.

Think there were 9 signed players who stayed..

Is the Perthshire friendly off or on?

Hope Shettleston get everything sorted out and get a team on the park and surprise a few people this season with a promotion push as would like to see the central teams coming up when the league increase to 16 next year.

This thread doesn't make for good reading and I don't think anyone will ever know the truth as only a few people involved and they will always stick to the story that makes them the good guy.

Renfrew???

Were they not having an internal feud a few months back?

Your correct to be concerned. Shettleston first game is a week this Wednesday. It's a bad sign when league cup section games are used by teams as a warm up. Or as quoted to me in years past "who the eff wants to trail down 15 miles to get effed in a effing meaningless game. Certainly an interesting concept on how to run a semi professional football team.

League cup games have always been used as a warm up. That's why its a load of crap and has to be ditched for next season. If it was straight into league campaign it would be different but Shettleston have plenty time to sign a squad.
