He had scouts watching him weekly last season, stoke, QPR, Sunderland

He had 2 trials with QPR last season but I wouldn't be surprised to see him at a team like dundee

Has he done enough to justify a move two leagues up? And a full-time contract?

Not to my mind.

A more-pertinent question may be whether he's done enough for someone to take a punt on a development fee for him. I'm pretty certain we offered him a contract, and he is only 20, so we're hopefully due something.

Doherty played a trial game last night, did ok. Will Championship be a big jump for him? Had a look on Transfer Markt, looked like he only scored 4 goals in league 2 last year, is that accurate?

yeah only 4... our other 'main' striker scored 2!  he was out injured most of the season mind you.

8 league goals in 2 seasons. he also scored 4 goals in one match v St. Mirrem B (who he left to go to the Rovers) - so there are goals there !

He actually had trials with Queens Park Rangers last season, which he apparently impressed in and was invited back but picked up an injury.. Full time training may be the answer for him - good luck to him.

What’s he like as a player? Does the rest of his game make up for his lack of goals?

A non-scoring striker who has been out injured recently is a typical Thistle signing. We have had a few in recent seasons.
