Would they not release him then or did they pay for him
Don't know the details in Slick's case, but assume that as he has been transfer listed that we either paid a transfer or a signing on fee and therefore the club want to recoup (some of) their outlay. That was the case with Marenghi for sure. We paid a transfer fee in January when he signed an 18 month contract. He wanted to leave and didn't turn up for pre-season, so he was transfer listed to recoup some of the fee. I assume either he or Maryhill have paid something.

As you said, Slick has only been with us two minutes and missed most of (possibly all of) our pre-season matches due to his summer holiday. He did ok in the Ardagh, but didn't start either of our first two league games and told our management he wanted to leave.

Fair enough if any £ paid out ten entitled to get that back , if none then they should just release the boy

Surely big John has already served a half match suspension as he can clearly be seen in the 2nd half of last weeks game in the stand. Much to the annoyance of the Talbot support although not to his being there but for not donating an extra £1.

He was standing in an area designated a "No Standing Area" as well as at the top of the emergency exit. He was repeatedly asked to move as he was restricting the viewing of those seated. As has been already stated why build a structure with 500 seats and ask folk to tolerate somebody blocking their view. There were Hurlford committee men in the vicinity who should have moved him.
