Highlight was the wee wumman nominally in charge of building infrastructure standing up an telling us there was very little money left in this year's budget for repairs, some teabays aren't working and that she was also aware that some toilets were out of action. Fair enough until she followed it up with "Which is a shame, as we know some people are frustrated as they're desperate to get big jobs done..." Rather than keep it simple and get everyone a meal and then onwards to a few pubs, they've spent a fortune booking a night away at the Glamping instead. It might be ok with some mates in the summer, but in the winter with folk you might not like and, as you say, no chance to leave if/when it gets shit, it sound fucking terrible. Even worse that they're spending so much money on it as you say. That's really poor, especially if it prices folk out. The logistics of getting there and back must be a nightmare as well. He wouldn't even pause for a breath during the splashes. I was young at the time and assumed this was normal workplace etiquette, safe to say I've not encountered similar behaviour in the decades since...
