Because everybody lives next to each other and will have exactly the same commute to work.

How dare somebody be running a little bit late.

all the work/snow stories reminds me of a time in the 90s I was working in east kilbride.  I still lived in Falkirk at the time so it was a b*stard of a commute most days.   East Kilbride sometimes had its own weather system and this one particular day the snow started coming down pretty heavy with no sign of stopping.  After about 30 minutes I was advised I should get going home(it was about lunchtime) as I might get stuck.  So I battled on through the weather and down the dual carriageway towards the M74...as soon as I pretty much got down towards the roundabout the snow cleared and sun came out... turn back?  nae chance!

I'm more than OK Bairny.

Detached house in the countryside, mortgage paid off, nice pension waiting for me. 🤣

Did we not have this conversation before?

Tory Britain right there in a nutshell, you have that because you deserve it and everyone who is poor also deserves what they have. No way such things as accidents of birth or life misfortunes can contribute, oh no, of course not... 🤡

Oaksoft firmly setting out his financial position to strangers on an online football forum.  What an interesting, light-hearted, well-adjusted individual.

Thank f**k he's not a vegan as well.

Fucking hell.

This is why older oeople call guys like you snowflakes.

You can give it out but you can't take it back.

You don't help yourselves do you? 🤣

I haven't given anything out until now, I have simply observed your piss poor trolling attempts on here. Still as long as getting a laugh at the poor and unfortunate keeps you happy, eh?

Good to see Oakie turning his attention to this forum after his Malksoft account got binned.

Building nicely towards another self-propelled meltdown too. The master at work. Watch and learn, kids.

What makes you think he doesn't want to go home?

Maybe he enjoys his job?

Maybe he doesn't want to sit in 2 hours of Friday traffic by leaving at 5pm?

Maybe he goes straight to the pub with his mates at 7pm?

I'm sure he does enjoy his job, as said so do I, I dont begrudge the guy at all, just find it strange why he wouldnt want to go home to his detached house in the countryside and spend unpaid overtime on a friday night in a shitty site cabin.

My last work place did this, made a 'case time' for each process and measured folk against it.
Your pay increase and bonus rested upon meeting these targets.

They had a generic case type that was measured at being on average 12 mins and you could almost guess what happened next. Anything that looked like taking longer than alloted time was changed into that case type.
Most these cases took longer than the allotted time and alot of people were put on 'action plans' except only the more experienced staff handled the generics and so started leaving in droves as they were no longer qualifying for raises or bonuses due to being only on these cases due to experience.

Half the time manglement were in meetings to try and improve the backlog of these cases whilst utterly ignoring the fact it was only like that due to utter shysters elsewhere unwilling to learn beyond basic procedure and changing them causing it.

I ended up being on a team monitoring who was changing the cases against a SharePoint that noted if it had been changed and if the change was valid or not.

Lee Wallace had nothing on me. Many a written warning doled out to agency staff due to this monitoring (to be honest I was told it was to help identify training needs, not to clear out temp staff).

Did anyone else find that post completely incomprehensible?

I have to say that I feel so jealous of oaksoft and so inadequate that Im thinking of going home to my house which isn't in the country and to cry into the file containing all of my mortgage statements to see how long I still have to go and also my pension  statements.

There's not much point carrying on today tbh.

If you turn up late for work on a regular basis, you expect a bollocking. If you turn up one minute late on a one-off occasion in near-hurricane conditions, you'd expect a reasonable employer to be understanding. Not sure why this is difficult to understand, even for someone that loathes the Proletariat as much as Oaksoft does.

Also, consistently boasting about your wealth, whether real or imaginary, is not a good look.

I recall one place where you got a bollocking for arriving five minutes late but not if you phoned in to say you were working from home because of the weather.

Some places are obsessed with what time did you start but don't give a shit about what you do after you get in.

I work with some Partick supporting weirdo who's now joined P&B just to follow me.

asimbuttsitsasix calls me a weirdo but I find this quite strange given he works in gay porn with me
