Some folk at my work actually print out emails and keep them in a folder.
If I was manager I'd genuinely be having a word with them telling them to stop doing it immediately and perhaps asking why they're being such fucking idiots.
thats ridiculous. i bet they are the same kind of morons that will moan about recycling

So she can levitate then?

It's a trick, I looked it up on Google. I bet she goes out first for a fag, takes a rug out with her for and unravels it, but unbeknownst to her workmates the rug has a solid metal base hidden underneath which has a support pillar welded to it which she hides inside the back of her long black cloak.

Read receipt bams are passive aggressive dicks. A woman in my last workplace did this with everything. I'm assuming someone lied about an email then this started it?
Read receipt for a holiday notification. Arrrgghh

I take great delight in clicking 'no' when Outlook asks if I want to let the person who has requested a Read Receipt know that I've read their e-mail.

I've told this before but always worth sharing again. A manager at a DSS office in Aberdeen. 1st job every morning was to print every email and every attachment in full. She would then read them and on the front email with the attachment write a distribution list for an Admin Asst to either take round and have read and signed by the people that she felt needed to read it or if it was important a photocopy of each email and it's attachments was made for everyone on the distribution list.

This could see an email with a 50 page attachment was printed and photocopied half a dozen times instead of just read on screen and forwarded.
She was a stupid as these events make her appear

My favourite is to read it in the display box and if it unimportant nonsense to just hit delete without even having to consider a read receipt. I once had someone come and complain I wasn't sending read receipts and it looked like I wasn't even getting them. When I showed I could read and delete without it ever going to received I thought she was going to cry

In the bad old days we would receive an office memo with a list of names which you would sign against your own and then pass round the office.

Our then manager would take glee in pointing out that you had read the memo and get on with the changes he wanted implemented.

After a month or so of this I decided just to keep hold of them, by the time the old c**t had left they had filled a drawer in my desk.

We had something similar back in 1998 in the manufacturing plant I worked in but only for actual important things such as process changes where it was actually quite important to read them and sign to acknowledge you had read it.

Read receipts can get in the fucking sea.

Have you ever refused and told her to stop being a twat?

People who want to be called on the phone instead of answering simple and clear questions in an email should be repeatedly thrown in the sea until they lack the energy to climb back out.

Was at home for the weekend to escape the World Cup for a couple of days, but returned South yesterday. On my drive back I got a text from a colleague simply stating "Milk".

I have just got in the office, to find the following email :

Oh my god. She's dairy free. That just makes this all the more mental.

Can I also ask, what is her actual job at the company?

Can't believe there are organisations out there that supply the staff with milk!  I need to buy a four pint one every Monday for my cereal and tea!  Any chance of a job mate?
