Saw her on Breakfast this morning:

We have come up with an exciting new way of identifying criminals.

How?

Comparing their hands to pictures of their hands.

Don't remind me. I too could've been in the Sunday supplements in my dazzling yet tasteful west end apartment.

I was indeed, she was some woman. When were you there? I was 87-93. If I was there at the same time as you then let me say I'm sorry, just in case I was an arse to you, which is quite likely.

St Andrews - Saltcoats (Latterly merged with St Michael's)

Roy Aitken (Ex Celtic/Scotland Captain)

Mark Reid (Ex Celtic, Charlton & St Mirren)

Jim Delahunt (Radio/TV Sports Pundit)

Steve Clarke (Ex Chelsea, St Mirren etc and current Killie boss)

Andy Monaghan (Guitarist in Frightened Rabbit)

Before merging with St Andrews, St Michael's had the following

Lou Macari (Ex Celtic, Man Utd and Scotland)

Bobby Lennox (Lisbon Lion & Scotland)

Julie Fleeting (Ex Arsenal and Scotland)

Paul Clarke (Ex Killie)

Can't think of any others off top of my head.

I watched Frankie Boyle for years appreciating his humour without appreciating just how intelligent he is.

  • 6 months later...

I went to two secondary schools - the first was private and Michael Gove was head boy, dux or whatever they called it when I was a first year whippersnapper.  Commonly had to listen to him at assembly.

In third year I changed school and can list Robin Cook, Russell Anderson and Michael Sheard  (Herr Grunwald/ Mr Bronson) as renowned FPs from that one.....

I didn't realise he was Scottish until fairly recently.

According to Wiki:

Category:People educated at Broughton High School, Edinburgh.

Martyn Bennett, bagpiper

Alan Bold, Critic and Poet [9]

Darren Dods, footballer

Shirley Manson, lead singer of Garbage, ex-Goodbye Mr MacKenzie

Sean McKirdy, footballer[10]

Anna Mcluckie, Musician [11]

David Murray, Entrepreneur, Scottish Businessman

Angus Robertson SNP politician.

Tommy Smith, saxophonist, composer

Graham Fitzpatrick Film Director, Screenwriter

I don't appear to be on there for some reason. Must be some mistake emoji1.png

Pretty slim pickings.

Of those, only Shirley Manson is properly famous and she hated it.

David Murray only ended up at Broughton because his family ran out of money. Killed Rangers, though, so a pretty good one.
