That’s good. I'm going to get their album.

Agreed it's not as good as the cover though.

Another old school song with the coldcut (sadly no fall) involved:

I enjoyed imagining MES on that, a bit like his contribution to 70s Night by Edwyn Collins.

Still, I prefer Elvis's version of this song.

One, I am going to say Tina Turner did a cracking cover of simply the best but it's no longer one to listen to as much

And two, I am cheating a bit with this as this guy does rock covers of almost anything but this I think is outstanding

Is this it?

Yes that is it Some woman has wrote a extra verse at the end of the original song  She has done a brilliant job on it You will have to put the Richard Thompson version on and it is right at the top of the comments Every new recording of this song will probably use them from now on

I still have , somewhere, my copy from 1971  of Neil Young's album... 'After the Gold Rush',

with 'Only Love Can Break Your Heart' on.   Must say, though, I just about prefer

St. Ettienne's cover from many years later, and still long ago.

Sat in the carpark of Camelon Aldi's earlier today while the wife done the last of the xmas shopping and put on the 13th Floor Elevators original.  Bairns told me to turn it.  Not to worry, they'll soon learn.
