Didn't he go on about us reaching a Europa League final last season and claimed that Celtic never started the league as favourites this season (no really, he actually said that 🤣). Doesn't seem like not getting dragged into stuff.

Got the links?

It’s great to see a Celtic manager who doesn’t get dragged into these petty media battles. AP’s response to ‘how do you feel about Rangers strengthening’ is superb.
Away and write some other shite to fill your clickbate headlines with.

Harsh on Drew tbf.

Stating that we didn’t start this season or last season as favourites is accurate and the singular reference to Rangers is giving context as to why. 1 sentence is hardly going on about it

He’s putting the hacks in their places. Next season is next season. They want a headline that’ll stick. He’s just put into context there’s no ‘real’ favourites, regardless if you’re strengthening or indeed defending champions.

He said 'overwhelming favourites'.

He's spent the whole season shooting jibes at VAR after he was lauded for saying VAR is what it is and he won't be saying any more about it.

This 'putting hacks in their place' and 'not getting dragged into petty media battles' translates to 'having a meltdown' and 'not showing enough' when the results aren't going well.

Celtic support lapping it up as any football fan would when the times are good but at least see it for what it is - he's just a bit of an arsehole when interviewed. He's not 'skewering' the shite journalism in Scotland by any stretch by being a bit of a chore to interview.

The thing is, All he's done is generally stayed away from EXACTLY the sort of shite that Celtic fans themselves have hitherto loved their managers to get involved in, so its only natural that they pivot to backing Anges clear indifference to their utter obsession with the other cheek.

You might think a foreign guy coming in and showing them how pathetic their whole "Old Firm" shtick is would be a good thing, but really its just a bunch of kids mimicing someone they admire. They'll be right back to normal once Ange fucks off and gets replaced with a badge kisser.

Fantastic scenes outside Celtic Park yesterday and it's all thanks to Ange. We are so fortunate to have a leader like him, the values he holds and the football he plays - he's a perfect fit for this club. We are so fortunate to have him. Four friendlies and one massive game v Caley next month to secure the treble to go.

A sensational post when, one month later, he jumps ship to EPLs 8th placed side who havent a major trophy in over 30 years.

Laughed when he came in now laughing cause he’s leaving.

If he leaves, and I think he will, we move on, plenty of ££ and champions league football would be attractive for a decent manager.

A semi competent manager could manage celtic, it's the board room that keeps you guys going.

Spurs is the biggest opportunity a manager based in Scotland has had since Fergie and likely to remain so for some time. A properly big club and if he decides he wants the chance to take them back to glory, challenge himself against the best managers in the world and probably triple his wages in the process then I wouldn't hold it against him.

He is a great fit with Celtic and I'll be gutted whenever he goes.

Seeing in the Italian media that Luis Enrique has knocked back Napoli as his agent believes an English Premier League club is his next destination imminently. Maybe Ange isn't leaving after all?
