Would have liked to see him to to a scottish premiership team to save me trawling for English league 1 highlights but this move is probably best for him. Manager knows him, standards much the same and has the pressure of expecting to win every week.

senorsoupe
Looking forward to seeing how Weah does. He already has 8 caps for the states, plus has scored in Ligue 1 for PSG so he clearly has some significant talent. Let's hope he can bag a bunch of goals for Celtic!
gannonball
Good stuff, must be something about him if hes at PSG and has American caps already.

Snifter Pee Rot
Celtic must think they can get away with the biscuit tin to secure 8iar. I would be worried if I was a dim.

He may only be 18 but he's got 8 international caps for the United States (who despite missing the world cup are still pretty good) and has already scored for PSG, I think will be a good signing, probably better than the over the hill Defoe

No wonder Lawwell drives a Bentley.

Baring in mind the only reason Weah has played for PSG or USA is because of his dad.
killiemilan
I really think Weah could be the next Charly Musonda.

Grangemouth Bairn
The reality is if Bayo signs, Weah will be 3rd choice striker that plays for a manager who favours a formation with 1 striker. He’s unlikely to play very much. However I think it’s quite clever by Lawell as it will further raise Celtic’s brand in the US and Africa. It’s a commercial signing, nothing else.

naegoodinthedark
Celtic signing a Timothy and an Oliver. Good working class names for a working class sport.

Given Defoe has hardly scored in the last year and a half, is 36, and on massive wages, I would take Weah as he has more potential to be good than Defoe has and won't eat up as big a portion of the wage budget. I'm just not buying into the Defoe hype at this stage in his career, he is a long way off the Defoe of his prime
