Stab in the dark but here's my tuppence worth
Just heard Barry Ferguson is being lined up as next Airdrie boss (snigger)
Amended taking this appointment into consideration.

1st   Ayr
2nd  Airdrie
2nd Raith
3rd   Alloa
4th   Queens Park
5th   East Fife
6th   Stranraer
7th   Forfar
8th   Albion Rovers
9th   Arbroath
10th  Airdrie

You are 100% wrong. For a start there's only 10 teams in our league.....

I'm sad so I counted up the scores from the predictions on this thread - 10 points for a 1st place, 1 point for 10th place. Here's what the overall P&B prediction for L1 looks like:

1 - Raith Rovers (229)
2 - Ayr Utd (212)
3 - Alloa Athletic (188)
4 - Stranraer (150)
5 - East Fife (129)
6 - Arbroath (106)
7 - Airdrie (103)
8 - Queen's Park (80)
9 - Forfar Athletic (65)
10 - Albion Rovers (58)

Imagine being an Airdrie fan returning from holiday, looking forward optimistically to the season ahead, then checking P&B to see what's been happening while they've been away...

(Airdrie have denied it's happening, so calm down)

In the era of smart phones/IPads/Ipods, which even Airdrie fans can afford,( and holidays)( even me as a technophobe) we would have kept up to date but the optimism was not there this close season.

To be fair that post was the end of June when Ferguson was hot tip for the gig.

Today is the 23rd July

Sorry, the 'calm down' part was aimed at the fictitious Airdrie holidaymaker.

Airdrie didn't deny it was happening until weeks later, BTW. These are the times we live in, people.

QP fans will be disappointed to know they haven't actually been written off as relegated before the season starts.

That'll be us definitely going down then. Seething.

This might not be too far away - wisdom of crowds and all that. Alloa look a bit high, the players they have lost are better than the ones they have signed. I'd still expect them to be top half though.

I like Raith and Ayr's signings, two good strikers can hide a lot of weaknesses in this league.

Airdrie have only lost some hopeless central defenders and a veteran striker, otherwise it's the same side that finished 3rd last season and the youngsters now have a year of experience so they shouldn't be total shite. But that may be pre-season optimism.
