As someone who spent 11 years at Kirkcaldy YM it’s saddens me to see the sorry state of affairs at the club just now. Every week results are an embarrassment and no junior club should be getting hammered by these score lines , what worrys me more is the current management / committee are unwilling to accept they are not up to task and refuse help from the local community, a lot of angry , frustrated people with a genuine affinity to the club who are willing to put in the hard work to upgrade everything on and off the park but are being shut out by those currently in charge due to a conflict of interests, shutting the doors seem to be the only way this is going to end !

Craig getting impatient Roy? What happened to “wait and see what turns up”? Got to say I’m very disappointed that you have stooped this low.

This isn’t about craig , I’m not part of any plans that him or any one else has for the YM , this is to do with a club that shouldn’t be in the state it’s in , are you happy with how things are?? As for “stooping this low” where have I stooped? By posting my opinion on a forum ? Correct me if I’m wrong but is that not what forums are for ?

Of course you’re entitled to your opinion but nobody was discussing the YM so why come on here and slate people who are doing their best for the club. It is obvious that some experience and quality is required but equally obvious is the lack of funds. If you are as worried and saddened as you claim why not offer to help Kenny nurture what is  arguably the youngest squad in junior football.

Can all the people willing to help not come together and all help the club any help any club can get from people should be taken and not dismissed

I’ve came on here to discuss it as this is the south league forum , as for offering to help nurture a squad then I believe that offer was also made but was turned down aswell as the people in charge believe the coaches they have at present are doing a good enough job and are not looking for any more . I’m not on here to slate anyone in a personal manner and I’m sure the guys down there are good people , I’m on here not only as a concerned ex player and coach , but also as a person who would like to see a strong Kirkcaldy YM . One thing I’m sure we can all agree on is that whatever is going on at present isn’t good enough and I personally don’t think the club as a whole should be turning down any offer of help from people who obviously have an affinity with the club and want it to be better.

Kirkcaldy YM posted on various social media platforms regarding the need for help as far back as Oct with no one coming forward. Since then a number of people have offered to help/support the club off the field however it was denied by the current committee.

Few facts that would help -

The current Manager didn't re sign one of last seasons squad. Perhaps not the best squad in the division but some very talented youngsters and arguably younger than the current squad. I know for a fact none of the players wanted to re sign due to the quality of coaching on offer and the constant criticism from Manager/Coaches.

What other Junior team has the coaches as committee members not forgeting that football is a results driven business.

I'm all for positivity but to claim the Management team are excellent after a 9 nil defeat and prior to a 12 -1 defeat is nothing short of embarrasing.

There is plenty help being offered all from people with a wealth of experience within junior football in Fife. People can come to their own conclusions on why they have refused help.

The club will die a slow death unless individuals embrace change.

I wasn’t going to get involved but now that you’re turning it into a witch hunt there are 2 sides to every story.

Kenny has bags of experience having coached at both Dundee Utd and Raith Rovers. He doesn’t have the sort of money thrown at the club by Colin Downie during your time there.  Recent results might be an embarrassment to you but the club suffered a lot more embarrassment than that when those people you speak of with an affinity to the club were there before. Yes I would like to see a stronger YM but do I want to see a return to the days when the likes of you, Grant Brough, your brother and the rest of your fortified wine fueled friends threw flares, Buckie bottles and Kung fu kicks at Kinnoul players when the won the league at Rosyth and had to have a police escort out of the town? No thanks and neither do the committee.
