Fauldhouse Utd 4 Whitburn 1

Fauldhouse scored twice early on and in the end won pretty comfortably. It's going to be a very long season for Whitburn if they don't improve on that performance, lack of organisation and leaders on the park.

Excellent 1st half show from the mighty hoose tonight and save taking their foot off the gas the last 25mins it was an easier than expected win. I did feel that JP (ex hoose) at the back did well for Whitburn and tried his best to organise the defence throughout the game.

2 out of 2 so onwards to Kirriemuir on Sat in confident mood.....go the hoose. Will the bookies still be offering 16/1 now I wonder?

Wouldnt read to much into Musselburgh Tayport result as it flattered the home team in as much as they deserved to as the better team on the day Tayport just ran out of steam as a lack of players and only 2 real subs to come on meant they just ran out of stream and werent able to use the bench to change the game

Manager King and assistant Smyth have to be on the bench just now until he is able to bring a few of his own players in after the first 3 or 4 games they should be up to speed and competing at the top end of the table

Ha ha, - funny how people read games differently!  Couldn't believe that we were two down, due I'd say to two defensive errors. Indeed was surprised that we went in at half time 2-1 down.

I also didn't think that the result flattered Musselburgh in anyway. We had so many opportunities, I thought that we were going to better the score that we had when Jeanfield came to Olivebank at the end of last season, when we played them in the cup. Musselburgh only had two subs coming onto the field as well!  Maybe fortunes will change in the reverse fixture!

Read the report. Whitburn had the ball, were inside the Fauldhouse half and going towards their goal when our boy sportingly put the ball out to allow treatment to your guy. Your team's response was to send the ball to our keeper and PRESS the Whitburn back four which forced the error and then led to a goal. Your team could have let Whitburn play it out of defence rather than press to allow us to at least get to halfway. Just my opinion. Wouldn't have made any difference to the final score as we were thumped by a better team.

Bathgate Thistle 2 Blackburn United 0

A penalty in each half settled the game, we were lacklustre and never got going, Bathgate were the better side and deserved the three points.  The referee though, Steven Wilson, was poor. Card happy and not prepared to let the game flow. A few meaty tackles as you'd expect from a local derby but too quick to pull out the cards. Got the penalties correct but he added 1 minute injury time despite a number of subs and players down for treatment second half, summed up his performance.

Good crowd, maybe around the 160 mark.
