You could have escaped under the smoke anyway.

Some guy (Mickey I think it was) this morning said he saw someone jump from the 5th floor and survive.

Image result for yeah right gif

There was a guy a few years ago jumped from a high flat somewhere on Glasgow's southside and survived a 9 storey fall. His pelvis was up by his lungs mind you and his lower body was shattered but he lived.

Not heard that one, but I did see the impact site after a raging junkie threw a lassie who had been messing around with her man out a window 20 floors up. I say impact site cause there was a clear  mark left where she landed.

Apparently over 1,200 empty homes in Kensington and Chelsea, people just leaving them empty and letting the value rise.

The cladding which may have caused the inferno was apparently added to make the building look nicer for the luxury flats around.

I don't want to sound like a Marxist, but how long can we really go on with the richest in our society leaving homes empty, while the poorest are crammed into unsafe housing?

The government cuts fire brigade numbers, votes against safety rules for landlords and people burn to death in entirely preventable fires, having warned beforehand this would happen.

I can't remember the full story of it but I was working in A&E in the Victoria at the time it happened and remember hearing about the guy after he got taken to intensive care. Think he landed on wet grass and on his arse which apparently saved him

It'll probably go on for as long as roasters like the people of north east Scotland keep voting for the party of deregulation, privatisation and downright contempt for the poor.

I live in a building, it could have been me.

People have survived the fall from the Erskine Bridge.

Dunfermline folk will be aware of the Broomhead Drive flats - from memory I think they are about 12 storeys high. Back in the 90's a guy jumped off from near the top floor but landed on the roof of a Ford Escort parked close by. The roof of the car caved in and somehow absorbed the impact with the result that the guy got up and walked away, cursing and swearing, because he was still in the land of the living.

There was more cursing and swearing to be heard when the car owner arrived back on the scene.

Clearly he'd never seen anybody jump from a window in a film. These people always, always land on top of a car.

With your navigation skills you have probably ended up there while trying to get home on more than one occasion.
