LongTimeLurker
Reserve teams are currently allowed no higher than tier 6.

Before someone says it is know Armadale haven't refused promotion yet but the other 2 have I think it's more likely that we'll see a few more West Lothian clubs move over to the EoS for next season rather than face the prospect of regular trips to Dundee and beyond. It makes absolute sense. There isn't an agreement for the ERJFA to come in at tier 6 next season, despite what Locheeboy thinks, and the boundary hasn't moved to allow Tayside clubs to join LL feeder leagues.

The email from Ian Maxwell which was sent out to the clubs by Tom Johnstone on 26th October suggests otherwise.

From my understanding their will be a west l3ague it's just whether it's sjfa run or not and it all comes down to coming to the same rules that we play under not their own

It was from the Professional Game Board where the EoS, SoS and SJFA are not represented. They probably got an update in their agenda about the PWG goings on and Ian Maxwell probably thought it was more of a done deal than he thought. Which is why it's nearly a month later and there's no sign of that draft statement being made public. And why the licencing embargo is over but no one's told the SJFA clubs that they can start applying since they're in the pyramid.

Not that we as a club have been informed of, as far as I am aware. The email is not an accurate reflection of what, if anything, has been agreed and it didn't come as a result of a PWG meeting. It refers to "agreement" and "consensus", which might be the case for WRJFA entry but it doesn't for ERJFA entry. Nobody on the PWG has any objections to the West (and North for that matter) coming fully on board, but in the East the EoS is already the established tier 6 league. As it stands there is zero evidence the HL/LL boundary has changed (which would require to happen for the ERJFA to come on board ie Tayside), and the EoS has not agreed to ERJFA entering as a competing league. I don't believe any of that changed at the latest PWG meeting. In fact it has been suggested any boundary change could only happen at an AGM of the SPFL. Nothing is a "done deal" and of course we now have SPFL3 and LL2 discussions to contend with.

They do as we've seen recently though there's a different set of vested interest amongst them. SPFL3 idea floated, LL2 working group and it's usually said how the HL want to be left alone.

"A while back" ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yes, probably on 1st April. Would be East Leagues having 2 chances of play-offs/promotion to the LL, and the West having only 1 (or none). Not going to happen !
