So, at the risk of pissing of people who have already explained it,who is left in the Juniors next season? The North & Tayside?

  1. North Region = 32 teams possible applicant in Rothie Rovers
  2. East Region split into North and South Sections. Likely to be 17 in "Tayside" and 13 in "West Lothian"
  3. Unknown number of clubs will remain a member of the SJFA to participate in the Junior Cup if there are membership changes.

Can anyone explain to me why the former West Region Junior clubs will be able to play in the Scottish Junior Cup next season when they will no longer be junior? Apologies, but I don't fancy having to read several thousand posts to find the answer.
They won't unless the SJFA Constitution is changed to admit members who don't play Junior football and that would need agreement from SJFA members. Not a done deal.

North?

Tayside?

West Lothian?

Do they have Juniors clubs as well? Never heard of them.

Cheers

The East currently has 38 - have a few packed it in or moved to the EoSL?

Rothie Rovers, eh? Used play against them in the old Newmachar & District Summer League ffs...

North, Tayside plus a few staunch remainers in West Lothian.

Thanks

Truly a rump...

From the South Section - Thornton Hibs, Kennoway Star Hearts, Lochore Welfare, Lochgelly Albert, Newburgh, Kirkcaldy & Dysart, and Rosyth have all applied.

From the North Section - Luncarty have applied.

Rothie Rovers were an early season rumour/announcement. Not sure if that's still happening, but who knows.

Tayport are being classed as Tayside in terms of what is left.

Technically they are the only Fife team left playing junior football.

And as previously mentioned the new wosfl will only get entry to the junior cup if the majority agree. A combined North and East vote against would mean no to that.

I assume Mr Ronney has banked on support in the East when he set his stall out.

Chartered flights would be the only way, negotiated as a season's contract. This would need significant sponsorship from a wealthy  benefactor, and SFA recognition that it should provide some ongoing funding for football clubs in the islands.  As I said, sadly I can't see it happening in the near future, if at all.

Is there a problem with ferries ? Cost  ? Timings ?
