I even get that problem in The Netherlands as my name is not from the Dutch language, but from the Frisian language (the second official language in the country, spoken in 1 of the 12 provinces). And I don't even speak Frisian and never lived close to the area where it's spoken. :D

A few years back our U19s played a friendly at Lochburn against SC Leovardia from Leeuwarden in Frisia...I was asked to do a mini match programme for the game because of the international aspect...I can remember the away team being quite pleased by the fact I'd used a Frisian flag rather than a Dutch one on the cover :)

I see from the AAFA site they're at Grange 3G more often than not. The above was their pitch a few years ago. The website has not updated it:

Didn't realise they played at Grange Academy. It's a bog standard 3g facility. The drainage at Burnpark tends to be poor so don't play there much.

Back on-topic, interesting discussion on the north pyramid in this podcast. I wonder who the Lochee United fan posting on P&B is they were talking about... 🤔

Just started listening this, pretty sure that the Clachnacddin fire started with a tumble dryer accident rather than an arson attack. I'd be be quite happy if we could sue Whirlpool or whoever for arson though tbf.

P.S. Plenty good community clubs in the Highlands too, with multiple age teams for both sexes, Clach for instance. Don't know where that "why can't they all be like Spartans or Banks o Dee" came from. Otherwise, good podcast, most of it spot on! :thumsup2

Even though it would put my club at a disadvantage, points per game maybe the best way to decide.

It will be very difficult for anyone to decide what method shall determine order/position/classification and I don’t envy their task. It may or may not affect Clydebank, but if it does I would point out that Bankies have played three of the top teams, Talbot, Buffs and Pollok twice each and gained no points. Sides yet to face these three may have a better points per game average due to not having played this trio twice. At the end of the day next season will give everyone a chance to begin, and perhaps  stay in tier 6. Could throw up a few surprises. I’m looking forward to it.

I prefer averaging points earned this season and ranking every Junior Club from 1 to 68. Slotting in non Juniors based on current level.

If there are 4 or 5 Conferences depending on when the season starts then have bands of 4 or 5. Then draw one team from each band.

It won't make that much difference in a 5 Conference League if your are seeded 6 to 10 or 16 to 20 or in a 4 Conference League 5 to 8 or 17 to 20.

Do you know, just came to us there, wouldn’t surprise me if one of the teams that applied was Evro Football Pro. Sure there’s been a split there with BSC 20s so if they had no league to enter a 20s into perhaps they’ve considered fielding a senior side.

On the "community" bit it was probably a bit too generalised, but otherwise it's a great listen.

All 63 WRSJFA clubs have applied. It has been confirmed in various sources. Including most recently George Fraser LL Chairperson on the 'Down the Divisions' podcast episode 2.

Where can that podcast be found? (I don't have spotify)
