Talbot secretary Henry Dumigan said: "Yes, we've signed the declaration. However it does not tie us to one plan or another."

Some backing that is.

Ayrshire Junior football news understands at least three other clubs have signed the declaration - Lugar, Saltcoats and Annbank.

That will be some league

"It states that Auchinleck Talbot 'Will duly accept the invitation of the Lowland League and be incorporated within their proposed West of Scotland League based on the following conditions.

1 All clubs move together in current format

2 We embrace the non-junior teams presented by the Lowland League

3 All clubs keep their membership of the Scottish Junior fa

4 All club (sic) are permitted to participate in the Scottish Junior Cup.'"

So they refer to an "invitation from the LL"   so presumably the new WoSFL,   but..............

"We embrace the non-junior teams presented by the Lowland League" which implies the WRJFA run leagues below tier 6?

So what is the LL invitation? the only invitation from the LL is to leave Junior football and join the new WoSFL. No WRJFA involvement.

It sounds like they want the teams in west region premiership to go to wosfl but retain junior membership and wrsjfa run the leagues below.

It states that Auchinleck Talbot 'Will duly accept the invitation of the Lowland League and be incorporated within their proposed West of Scotland League based on the following conditions. I didn't think the LL were going to be inviting the West Region as a whole, just accepting applications for the WOS instead

1 All clubs move together in current format

2 We embrace the non-junior teams presented by the Lowland League contradictory to point 1 as the format would surely need to change to include these teams

3 All clubs keep their membership of the Scottish Junior fa don't think this bothers anyone, senior clubs can hold membership of other FAs

4 All club (sic) are permitted to participate in the Scottish Junior Cup.' again that's up to those clubs if they want to participate but it just adds more games, especially if they also play in the South Challenge Cup

It comes as Lowland League chiefs prepare to meet representatives of 51 clubs interested in setting up a breakaway West of Scotland League that would spell the end for the Junior grade.

Ayrshire Junior football news understands at least three other clubs have signed the declaration - Lugar, Saltcoats and Annbank. suppose Kennie won't be doing the senior WOS fixtures!

Talbot secretary Henry Dumigan said: "Yes, we've signed the declaration. However it does not tie us to one plan or another." so basically if this doesn't work they are joining the LL WOS

Their declaration makes no sense whatsoever!  On one hand accept the invitation, on other hand it has to be on our terms? Incredible incompetence.

Indeed, but the Lowland League haven't extended any such invitation.

The new WoSFL is open to any club Junior or non Junior by application and they will be equal members of the new WoSFL.  Join or don't join.

It has zero to do with the SJFA/WRJFA.

It's a pretty pish declaration lol!

'Setting Up a BREAKAWAY WOS league'?  Whats that all about.  They have really bought the crap from the Junior ranks.

This is what they will be going to the SFA with to say they back our League not the WoSL. If the LL didn't issue the West Region an invitation this declaration is null and void.

Well as you know - as everyone knows - the only thing the LL have done is set the wheels in motion of a new independent WoSFL, with membership by application.   The only invitation was asking clubs to submit an expression of interest.

This declaration reads like the WRJFA have been invited by the LL to help them form a tier 6 WoSFL, but that they will only do so if the following conditions are met........bonkers!

Clubs have been smoking something if they think the Lowland league are going to bend over to accommodate their demands. The WOSFL will be run on pretty much the same rules as the EOSFL. Teams either join or they don’t. It really is that simple but be warned if you don’t join and they get 16+ teams then when you decide to join it’ll be at a lower tier than 6.

Alleged comments! [emoji23]

There is nothing wrong in having regional bodies administering leagues within a pyramid. It is already in place in the Highlands and EoS. It is widespread in England with National leagues, Regional leagues and County FAs all doing their bit.
However, what binds them together are common goals of allowing clubs to progress and attracting new clubs. That requires commonality and agreements between leagues about promotion, relegation, discipline, match calendars, facilities, licensing etc.
The SJFA has shown itself to have parochial and insular view of themselves and their perceived value to the wider game across the country.  That was echoed by some of the alleged comments at last night's WRJFA meeting.
There should be nothing to prevent the WRJFA running leagues within the pyramid, but they have to accept that they have to adapt to what rules and structures are in place, and work well, for clubs already within the pyramid. They have acted like a bull in a china shop, as if they are the top dogs in non SPFL football, demanding that everyone else accedes to their demands.
