I think Newburgh will go EoS, albeit reluctantly.

Going to Tayside would be a last resort. They're probably the club in the "safest" place of the Juniors. Regardless of what they choose, they'll be playing in a League next season - Tayside or EoS Conference.

Yeah and you used Auchinleck Talbot as a team that would run up cricket scores. Except they're not a true representative of West Premiership clubs. Not only did they run away with the first West Premiership title.

According to Wikipedia they were the clear number one during the Superleague era. Top 4 finish 14/16 seasons. Over a 100 points more than the 2nd place team. Only Hurlford's 5 stint comes close to PPG accrual.

And there's another half dozen teams in there who would rack up a cricket score in conferences with current West League One and Two teams.

No need, just use the current standings as a basis for linear leagues if there are more than 16 West juniors applying for the WoS.

If the Sjfa is ultimately wound up what happens to remaining assets c. £500k from memory.

I didn't notice anything in the Constitution referring to dissolution.

Maybe need a motion for next AGM to distribute to member Clubs.

I asked this a while back and the consensus was it gets split amongst member clubs. Could explain why some in the East are sticking around

If its wound up its only fair that money is used to pay off the staff and split amongst the clubs who didnt vote to leave the sjfa etc.

So Thornton, Kennoway, Rosyth, Kirkcaldy and now Lochgelly have announced their departures. What is the story with Newburgh and Lochore? Surely to follow now?

It's funny to see a few statements refer to the ERSJFA meeting. The Fife clubs all take it as a hint to leave, the Lothians to stay...? Are they glad to be getting a wee local league all to themselves with no travel over the devilish Queensferry Crossing?

Presumably any assets would revert back to the SFA?

The table doesn't lie. When Pollok won four out of the five first Super League titles they were generally applauded for their efforts. When Irvine Meadow spent heavily to ge their three titles there was a lot of resentment, and catcalling of Talbot from their fans who accused us of being "only a cup team" because we couldn't win the Super League, having had only the one success in 2006. This League is an old one though as it doesn't include last season's win. These things are cyclical, but because we've had five recent successes we are now too good for the existing grade? We've only won one more title in the current run  than Pollok did in their heyday and there were no calls then saying similar about them.

Probably because in 2006 there was no LL or route into the SPFL.

Now there is.

Who really cares, it was never used for the benefit of the game (grade if your mental) when there was the chance to use it
