With EoS announcing they're going heirarchal (P-1-2-?) from 2021-22 rather than next season (one more sesson of conferences), this guarantees  that WHEN (not if) Fauldhouse join the pyramid, they will be at least 2 promotions off the EoS top flight, rather than 1 had they joined for 20-21. Do these decision-makers life by the light of a parafin lamp?

To be serious for a moment, what say more than 8 current EJFA South teams apply for EoS in the next wee while.....

Currently 16-12-12,so an extra 8 clubs takes it to 16-16-16.

What then ?

3 parallel conferences at Tier 6 ? Conference C ?

If they are voting to stay with the current structure next season, sounds like , if more than 8 apply, some teams will get automatically knocked back.

You decide the exact structure after 31st March.

Stupid post considering we have two clubs in latter stages of Europe and look like we'll be back to 2 Champions League places next season. Scotland's history/geography/fanatsism about football mean that this system works. It's not perfect but it certainly works.
Aye, the system works. Folk reaching 21st birthday that weren't born the national team qualified for a major final. The system works though [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

It should be regionalised from Tier 3 down, but that's another argument.

TAJ gave everyone a 6-tiered 'Mon The Junyurs' cake?

Thornton's announcement came the morning after that meeting so maybe the cake wasn't to their liking.

Going to be some East Region next season...

Rangers and Celtic 'flying the flag' in Europe fielded 5 Scottish players between them.

And 2 are retired from International football.

Given lochgelly were quite strong advocates for a return to a fife league they must be looking at that map and thinking ‘f**k this’.  And if they go what option do lochore have?

That includes me, probably being one of the younger posters on here.

But aye what league Elgin play in, is the reason we always f**k up the final qualifier.

We went from 1958 - 1974 without qualifying for anything, despite allegedly having world class players........

Only 16 countries in the world cup back then tho.

And in 1967 scotland pumped the world champions. And Celtic won the European Cup.

Yes, Im just wondering.

On reflection, if they get enough clubs, it could be 3 parallel 12's, 3 parallel 14's etc. at Tier 6.

There will be 16 at Tier 6 which is the Premier Division. After that it's Tier 7 so if it's 48 teams you have 16 then say two conferences at 16 each. In theory you might be able to fit in up to 18 teams for both Tier 7 conferences so 52 could be coped with for one season, maybe?

Above 52 (seems unlikely) would be difficult. How many league games can be fitted into a season when many clubs don't have floodlights? Three conferences at 12 each would only give 22 league games - not enough without some extras created somehow - perhaps playing each other H & A twice over? 42 games.

I hope that all current Juniors wishing to switch will be accommodated - even though some may be below the criteria for newcomers to the league.  Plus Eyemouth Utd (if they plan to return this time around).

1967 is described as the best year ever for Scottish fitba, but never qualified for 1966 or 1970.

Very hard to qualify back then.  Scotland were in qualifying groups where only the top team qualified (no playoffs).  Italy (1966) and West Germany (1970) qualified ahead of us in 1st place with Scotland in 2nd.

Fauldhouse should build a new ground at East Badallan Farm. Closer to the railway station than Park View is (less than half a mile), about the same distance to either from the Miners Welfare.

Postal address of: East Badallan Farm, Fauldhouse, Bathgate, West Lothian, EH47 9AG.

You can walk there from the Hoose entirely on roads maintained by West Lothian Council.

And yet the ground would be WOS eligible as the farm is in North Lanarkshire despite the address!

If only we had stayed at our old ground instead of moving to park View.
