John Reilly and the Fauldhouse president (can,t remember his name) duly arrived and it was pretty evident from the initial conversation that they were there to blow holes in any potential application, their problem was they couldn,t find any so they latched on to being next to the golf course and the travelling time to Fauldhouse as pointers as to why they wouldn,t support an application from Breadalbane. From there Breadalbane contacted the SFA for advice and they sent out their head ground invigilator (cammy watt) who quite simply shook his head at the junior stance, a full health and safety report has been drawn up to support any application and the club were advised to apply for legacy status (successful) and he advised that any future ground works should be done to entry level standard making any future objections null and void. Breadalbane,s facilities are not an issue, neither the SJFA nor EOSFL would find fault and I would say we are further down the licensing line than most, the club has a good youthful hard working committee, I think the next project they are taking on is a floodlight upgrade to 300 lux, they have ambitions and why should the system hold them back because of a misunderstanding of geography. Given the current north/south split in the East Region, you're unlikely to get Fauldhouse and other West Lothian clubs travelling north in the league. There's 17 Tayside clubs, you'd think they would welcome another club in their region as it would make a two division setup more viable.

stanley
I've been listening and it is quite interesting but the bitterness from Lochee is quite strong and it's getting a bit tiresome listening to him. The guy come from Gartcairn comes across well. Edited May 6, 2020 by stanley

That does seem to be the main points of interest. The misremembering the creation of the Lowland League as being 8 West Region and 8 East Region clubs with BSC Glasgow and Caledonian Braves both getting name checked even though neither club was in the Lowland League in the beginning. Things like the 3 liars of Fraser, Baxter, and Greenhorn. Also looks like both North Region and East Region decisions to null and avoid are being appealed. By Banks o'Dee and East Craigie respectively. Which shows the difficulty of the decisions some of the leagues have had to make this season.
stanley
The funny thing is that I think he has some interesting points to make but the bitterness makes it hard to take what he says seriously. The Tayside issue is still a problem and bringing attention to that is important but talking about former East junior clubs thinking they are better than the remaining junior clubs, saying that clubs aren't "senior" at all unless they are in the SPFL, saying the EoS set out to destroy the East juniors, that everyone has been lying etc. seriously detracts from any constructive points he has to make. I don't think everything he says is wrong, just that the bitterness takes away so much from what he has to say.

Ginaro
That was a Junior political broadcast on behalf of the Larry Duncan party. Really don't think the host knew what he was letting himself in for! Far too much baggage that masked the important issues - the Tayside problem deserves a better spokesman. If the SFA had been telling the LL there would be no conferences back in January, and the Juniors knew about this - why did this not come out in the open until recently after the applications closed? Larry's point about Edusport being pursued by Regan for the LL is funny as they were the first example of the pyramid working with promotion from tier 6 As for asking, where are the original 13 EOS clubs? Well Larry, they dropped down but two of them have just been promoted to the Premier Division... The acting NRJFA President could do with getting up to speed, apparently today was the first time he's heard of Dundee clubs going to the HL. Also said that there's no system in place for BoD to go to the HL - they don't need a system, they just need to apply! Then he mentioned Dyce's proximity to the airport was a reason why they couldn't get floodlights - Renfrew and St Mirren don't seem to have any problems at the same distance away from Glasgow airport. stanley
In fact, didn't Edusport Academy apply to the Lowland League and get rejected which is why they were in the South of Scotland League in the first place?

Yes. With the Lowland League prioritising applicants capable of getting licenced Edusport Academy didn't have anything lined up that would of met that criteria.

Hard to believe David Cadenhead is acting president of the North Juniors, the rest of them must have fixed the short stick for lols. Weird background noises too, sounded like a labrador eating budgies.
