Junior football, what is the future?

You’re better to set up a new league with willing members than to just move the entire WRJFA over. If what’s being reported about some of the hostile attitudes towards the LL and EOS are correct do you really want these teams to be forced over, what if more than 50% of the league are of this opinion then they could go out their way to make things difficult and elect anti pyramid people as the league reps. Form a WOSFL let teams choose and those who wish to join can lead the way and those who do not can remain in the SJFA until such time as they want to join the pyramid. Your WOSFL will be a happier place if it’s volunteers and not pressed men.

Have any of the west juniors teams been in touch with former east juniors teams that transferred to the EoSL/LL in the last couple of years to get an idea what are the pros and cons about converting? They just seem to be getting all their info from the WRJFA

We played Dunipace in a friendly match a few weeks ago and had a good chat with them and saw their facilities.

I have also been speaking to some contacts I have at LL/EoSFL clubs.

Chicken and egg scenario. Folk tonight will want to know the potential format before making a decision. Decision can’t be made by member clubs before membership happens.

Which is why they'll likely leave it as "single division or seeded Conferences depending on the numbers".

They aren't going to get caught in some half baked ranking system of clubs.

Conferences may be for the best now due to gatherings of over 500 will be potentially banned for forseeable future so going by Isa's crowd estimates Talbot won't be able to play any more games along with Pollok while the rest will finish the season bar 1 or 2 games since we have under 500.....? I was going to say something similar. There are already games scheduled until the end of May. Any potential cancellations, not just around fans but possibly players going into self-isolation, could end the season.

There's no 2000-01 SoSFL Champion due to foot & mouth.

Agreed.
just keep it the way it is, open for any team at any level to join the new WOS league, If its one division - great and if its more than one division then fantastic but all divisions should be at tier 6 and if more than one division then it should be a conference league for the first season.  No junior team is forced over any team joins because they want too, obviously some will join as their neighbors have left but in reality it should be each clubs choice.

Any word from the PWG meeting?

Were there protesters on the steps of Hampden with their pitchforks?

What time is the LL/WoS meeting this evening?

Not sure if youre at the wind up or if you genuinely think there was even a remote possibility of that happening.

I wonder if the Lowland League will impose an embargo on talking about their meeting tonight?

Don't think they would. Especially as they have to make public what they're intentions are for those that might apply but didn't put in a note of interest.

This could mean that there's no final league tables and so next season would have to be on a Conference basis. Presume that's your  and Shannon's thinking?

Id suggest arranging the conferences in Alphabetical order. Clubs with one word names use the first word and clubs with two word names use the second word, so for exampleAnnbank- Clydebank in tier 6 and a club with an S or T as a second name in tier 8. I think we can all get behind this idea.
