I think that is very significant. A united front should prevent any potential issues with the SFA.

Statement – Pyramid Update

The latest update regarding the Pyramid application process

In line with the previous statements and timetable, the process surrounding the making of a formal application to join the Pyramid via the new West of Scotland Football League (WoSFL) proposed by the Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL), East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) and now also the South of Scotland Football League (SoSFL) is below.

To date 51 expressions of interest have been received from various grades of football. Those Clubs will now be invited to an information meeting on Thursday 12 March to hear in more detail what the application process will look like. This will include the minimum qualification standards (including the ground criteria based on the EoSFL model), the governance arrangements, the administration support available, the options for the structure of the new league and the completion of the form itself. The application forms will be sent to the 51 Clubs along with the invitation to the meeting, and will also be made available to any other Club on request. The completed forms will be treated in strictest confidence. Clubs are encouraged to send any questions they have to geo_fraser@hotmail.co.uk by Wednesday 11 March so the meeting can be as informative as possible. Questions on the night will also be encouraged. The idea is to give the Clubs as much information as possible to inform their decision-making process. Due to numbers expected, each Club will be invited to send one registered official to the meeting.

As previously stated, the deadline for completion for all of the forms is Tuesday 31 March. The next again step will be to hold a further meeting for all Clubs whose application has been accepted. That meeting will cover in more detail what the set-up of the new League will look like (depending on the number of applications received and accepted) and also the plans to create an administration for the League. That meeting will be arranged for April.

Issued:

George Fraser (Chairperson SLFL), John Greenhorn (Chairperson EoSFL), Colin Holden (President SoSFL)

All 3 relevant decision making organisations are now present, how can the the WRJFA/SJFA still think they can form a league and get into the pyramid.

The above lines say it all

Gordon Ronney will clearly have to resign his posts the same as bamford if his team takes the same route.
Cant remember if the broxburn supremo resigned immediately when they quit juniors.

Mr.Provan is now on one of the EoS committees.

That could be key now that they are publicly in the loop and supporting, as before it was noticeable by their absence and potentially could have been a route for a west juniors proposal to enter the pyramid process via some kind of merger with the SoS league. It also means out of the 4 named parties in the current pyramid agreement into the Lowland League, you have 3 of the 4 named parties supporting this proposal with the Sfa as the 4th named party the only one which has to still agree.

On top of the SoSFL inclusion. It was good to see them state that the EoSFL ground criteria will be used. As thats in the public domain and can help dismiss the licencing myths that get peddled.

‘Public domain’ doesn’t obviously mean that myths won’t be spread. Amazing how many folk running clubs won’t have the ability to find that document unless someone handed it to them.

So the SOS /EOS proposal limits the amount of teams in.
The WRJFA proposes access for all
Advantage WRJFA??
The only clubs that possibly wouldn't meet all the criteria are any amateur/youth teams who apply. All junior clubs will meet the criteria outlined a few posts up. The EOS haven't rejected any applicants from the juniors, it'll be the same case here.

The WRJFA have zero chance of getting into the pyramid because the LL, EoS and SoS hold vetoes over change to the LL playoff format, so there can be no advantage involved. I saw nothing that suggested a limit on the amount of teams in the LL's statements only the suggestion that some applicants may not be accepted.
