Junior football, what is the future?

Pretty much. That tends to be how these things work. You win 5/7 titles and you're not at the highest level of the game, people tend to say you should go up a level. Same is said of Banks O'Dee in the North and basically any club that goes on a run of form that sees them win multiple league championships in a handful of seasons.

The table doesn't lie. When Pollok won four out of the five first Super League titles they were generally applauded for their efforts. When Irvine Meadow spent heavily to ge their three titles there was a lot of resentment, and catcalling of Talbot from their fans who accused us of being "only a cup team" because we couldn't win the Super League, having had only the one success in 2006. This League is an old one though as it doesn't include last season's win. These things are cyclical, but because we've had five recent successes we are now too good for the existing grade? We've only won one more title in the current run  than Pollok did in their heyday and there were no calls then saying similar about them.

You've also been in the Scottish junior cup final 8 times in the last 11 years (winning 6 of those) and have taken in an enormous amount of money from the associated senior cup runs.

Great achievements and well deserved of course, but you can't only mention the league when talking about dominance.

That's the whole point of the pyramid, yes.

Otherwise you'll just be crying salt tears because there are no more worlds to conquer like Alexander the Great (or indeed Eric Bristow).

The original post was about league form, that's why I didn't mention the Junior Cup. We had a fairly decent record in it between 1986 and 1992 as well though? As I said, these things are cyclical, and it was another 15 years before we won it again.

Who really cares, it was never used for the benefit of the game (grade if your mental) when there was the chance to use it

So let's use it for Club Development, ground improvements for all current member Clubs. From the responses to date no one seems to know. I don't think it would be fair to transfer to SFA or any remaining Clubs. The funds belong to all current Member Clubs.

Propose a motion to distribute c. £3.5k per Club for ground improvements before Sjfa is eventually dissolved.

The only bit in the Constitution that might have some relevance is;

The President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer / Assistant Secretary for the time being shall be Trustees, ex-officio for the Association and shall hold any property of the Association and all investments shall be made in their names and their successors in office as Trustees for behoof of the Association.

Also

Any club in membership of the Association resigning or being expelled shall have no right or interest in the property or assets of the Association.

They once paid out £1,000 to every club during a bad bad winter.

They could easily pay out £2,000 to every member clubs as it currently stands.

You saw the light.... literally!

Well done tho, takes courage to make the big changes and it's worked out well - solid platform to build from now with license in place 👍

Post from Camelon Juniors Football Team Facebook page, they need help both in terms of financial support and at the ground. If anyone can help in any way please let the club know. This is a heartfelt plea . #yourclubdontletitfail

"The club have asked on here on numerous occasions for help running the club but the response has been very poor. We are on the edge of a precipice and if it continues like this there won't be a Camelon Juniors in a few weeks. We desperately need help with the treasure chest. This is the lifeblood of the club and without it we will not survive. We could be doing with help up the park as well. It shocks me that there are more people from outside Camelon helping the club than there are people from Camelon helping. Any help would be appreciated. If it's buying a season ticket, sponsoring a player, doing a couple of hours on treasure chest or helping on a match day. We need to act now before its too late.“

Brilliant news Camelon. The Scottish Cup beckons you.

Expect another 4 or 5 clubs to make a similar announcement about their current SFA licensing application.
