Is that why the West started the league early? Some teams with a plastic pitch reckoned they'd be done and dusted league wise by the start of March.

Well, the West will need to fulfil Lowland League play-offs by a set date IF the Champions are Licenced, so they need to at least have their top division finished by end of April 2021.  Doesn't really matter for the leagues below.

27th July - EoS Premier Division and South of Scotland League start.

3rd August - West Premiership starts.

Matchday 30 in the EoS Premier is meant to be the May 2nd.

Burnie man did both EOS and LL object to another play off for east juniors

There can't be a playoff for the Lowland League place between EoS Premier champions and the winners of the ERJFA  Superleague playoffs as the junior champion might not be eligible for the Lowland League if they're a North of Tay club, so of course the leagues would object. It's moot anyway as you need an SFA licence and no ERJFA club has one, let alone the madness of having two leagues at the same level with a huge geographical overlap.

Some people on here tend to flip their lid if the truth is stated on that. The LL and EoS actively blocked the change that the SFA and SJFA were pushing for last season, which was both the east and west regions in at tier 6 as feeders to the LL. If as appears to have been claimed by some on here the SJFA are only pushing for west region entry this season, there is no obvious reason for change to be blocked this time around.

No probs was just asking as that would obviously make a previous post about votes after west in nonsense

As has been pointed out, the SFA, LL, EoS and SoS all need to agree to any changes to the current LL play-off format.  This will happen to accept the West in.

Then it will need complete agreement between SFA, LL, EoS, SoS and West, before any further changes can be made. So any of those effectively have a veto on change.  The number of member clubs in each league is irrelevant.

The irony is, this could have happened a year ago if it hadn't been for the SJFA insisting on the East coming in with the West, or no deal. The SJFA set the West back a season.

Perhaps the ERSJFA clubs are happy to wait till after the WRSJFA are confirmed as members of the Pyramid. Then see what happens once their 63 votes come into play against the EOSL's 39.
You do realise that it isn't a out the sheer number of votes to change the eosfl and LL promotion process for the east?

It doesn't matter about the wrsjfa having 60odd votes, that would have no influence on having two associations in the east.

If East clubs want into the pyramid, join the eos. It really is that straight forward.

If the wrsjfa joins next year all that will be confirmed is how much of a rear end tj and the sjfa have made of things.

This could have been fixed for the current season.

The LL and EOS league didn't block sjfa entry lurker, you know that but continue to suggest they did.

They rejected the suggestion of the ersjfa at tier 6 for the east but supported, and continue to support, the wrsjfa coming in as is. The sfa showed their lack of understanding of their own rules and tried to steamroller things through.....with tj clinging to their coat tails.

If it was the eos and LL rejecting the sjfa, why are they now accepting the wrsjfa in at tier 6? They rejected the idea for the east only, and had no power to change the Tayside boundary line.

Keep peddling though, someone might believe it eventually.

The SFA and SJFA are unlikely to ever state that they phorked things up last time around. The face saving way out of this will be for the SFA to invoke the Tay Bridge boundary as what is delaying a resolution in the east until 2021-22 at the earliest, since that prevents both a full EoS-ERSJFA merger or a Tayside only ERSJFA functioning independently as an LL feeder in the view of the EoS and LL and will need the involvement of the HL and SPFL to resolve. In the meantime hopefully the west will enter.

That might actually be one of the sticking points in the details. WRSJFA having representation in the LL play-off voting structure. Not the national SJFA.

Not sure why the SJFA would expect to have a voice rather than the league itself, the SJFA don't run leagues. You're right, if they want that, it could potentially be a sticking point.

Let's face it, once the West moves over, the SJFA become an irrelevance.  The SFA already deal with registration, they will deal with discipline, and there wont be any re-instatement rules to deal with, so what would the SJFA do, left to run the Junior Cup which may or may not have a place in the senior calendar?

Never wanted the Regional FA's represented at the PWG meetings. Never wanted the Regional FA's represented on the Non-Professional Game Board.

You put the WRSJFA as the voice in the LL Play-off rules it breaks the uniformity of the SJFA. You're putting the WRSJFA in the room with the LL, EoSFL and SoSFL to decide the format. Format dictates calendar. It makes the SJFA even more superfluous.

It is at tier 6 as the feeder for the west side of the country. Talbot were allegedly told to join that league if they became licensed. They have a side from Kilmarnock and a B team for a club based in Strathclyde Park. There is absolutely a geographic overlap.

I would offer SoS clubs the conference format the EoS adopted, or the chance to form a regional league at tier 8 alongside an Ayrshire District League and a 'Central' League.

See my last sentence!

Eosfl wanted the west in this season. So it tj is going to let the west in. Eosfl will let them in

It's already broken with the North sitting it out and half the East gone.

The WRJFA run the league, so they need to be the decision makers, not the SJFA.

The amount of different permutations that people coming up with is stupid it's quite simple tj and several others want to keep the juniors and more so the sjfa as a governing body and that's why we didn't enter this season the sjfa has to fold and a new non  league association needs to be formed under the sfa. The two problems we have are the East and North the North should come under control of the highland league no more junior status. The East must be all the one association the only problem is tayside what happens there well I can't work that one out that would be the guys from the East to sort. Any team in the east junior's just now should apply to the eosl and that would send a message to the junior dinosaurs that your time is up and lets embrace the new.

Assuming what has been posted on here is accurate, hopefully the most controversial issue on the 11th is going to be the introduction of a second automatic promotion place from the sixth tier into the LL, so the west region and EoS champions don't have to play off against each other. The problem is that LL clubs will have to sign off on that before any change to the playoff format can be made, and turkeys...
