Guest
The sfa are free to put in place (or railroad) whichever set up they wish.... Which isn't the issue when trying to get the current proposal over the line. The issue is the LL run the rule over their promotion/relegation set up and which leagues they will accept as being part of the process. They can, and potentially will, keep the same leagues (eos and sos) as their feeder league. In short, the situation is potentially as follows, the sjfa can sit at tier 6 in the east and west but will have no access to promotion into the LL.... Much the same as what we currently have. Why should the leagues (who stand to lose out after setting the whole thing up) bow to the sjfa coming in now, 5 years later, and gaining everything for doing nothing?

Kilbowie Benches
The SFA board can vote through anything they like by the looks of the SFA constitution!

stanley
No more separate junior system then. Welcome to the seniors everyone (except the forgotten north obviously).
superbigal
No more separate junior system then. Welcome to the seniors everyone (except the forgotten north obviously). They are still juniors . I was meaning they can force through whatever they like but the LL are in control of who gets promoted from what league. The sfa can't force the LL to change their promotion and relegation process.

Don't really see how the factors junior fans use to talk about how junior football is better than senior football would still be in place if all are in the senior system. The distinction between senior and junior non-league clubs would become fairly meaningless.
FairWeatherFan
Current SFA Board: Alan McRae (Chair and Scottish FA President) (standing down) Rod Petrie (Scottish FA Vice-President) (expected to be nominated unopposed for President, which leaves position vacant) Ian Maxwell (Scottish FA Chief Executive) Neil Doncaster (Professional Game Board Representative) (requires an annual nomination) Mike Mulraney (Professional Game Board Representative) (requires an annual nomination) Thomas McKeown (Non-Professional Game Board) (requires an annual nomination) Ana Stewart (Independent Non-Executive Director) Not entirely sure they will push something through against the will of the 21 current members in the Lowland League and EoS.

Inanimate Carbon Rod
Find it bizarre to see west junior fans being smug about a move which sees the west region given half the opportunity to progress than clubs in the east through the 4 way play off.

That's the difference though. The West Region isn't running scared, like the EOSFL is.
