Yes agreed but junior teams can't do this until they go senior then the correct paperwork submissions etc... for their development team to evolve and start in the development leagues. There are a lot of academics the now and all at different levels, and with success rate. There are academies operating the now but most teams in the academy are just sperate entity teams with lots of coaches thinking the team is their baby and they run it how they see fit. Yeah that's good to know I don't get why people on here are slagging Glenrothes because they are bottom and they intend to apply to go to the senior ranks. They may have investment waiting if they go senior, no one on here knows so they might have funds to go to a higher level than they are already at. Talbot 1978 Posted March 5, 2019 Share Posted March 5, 2019 Well whenever I have spoken to Thornton guys they say the move away from the old Fife league was a mistake and that they need more local games. The only way that's probably going to happen next season is if they switch leagues, if the North /South super/premier proposal gets passed its going to be them and Kennoway in the South Premier. Possibly being wooshed but it's because the train station (in Thornton) is called Glenrothes with Thornton despite being nowhere near Glenrothes (which has 2 train stations near it - the other is Markinch - but none in the new town itself). Inverkeithing get by with the orange mesh fencing around their running track. Coldstream have made ground developments in recent years, sufficient to be licensed, despite playing in a public park. Peebles Rovers, longstanding EoS members, also play in a public park.
