lok average about 600.  should be double that this sat versus talbot in the cup

How many did you get against Buchanhaven Hearts in the Junior Cup 2nd round? Because that's a much better comparison for Bo'ness v Eyemouth.

Maybe someone in the Juniors should do what is being done in the LL/EOS/SOS - ask people to do headcounts or get clubs to publish their attendances so we can have a better idea of just how big or small some of these clubs are. Beith did that two seasons ago (league average of 276).

The Buchanhaven crowd was very healthy. Don't have the figure to hand just now but it was nowhere near as bad as some of the Sectional ones can be (183 midweek v Rossvale this year for example).

Video footage here - certainly in the c500 bracket I'd say.

Pollok seem to be another club that keeps track and publishes crowds. Although going by their website it seems quite random when they are included in the match reports.

They are all recorded and are published if I get them. I'm working on getting them all for this season. Just a question of committee passing them along.

Top teams in the East juniors will be lucky if they are averaging even half of that. Most in the north region will be getting 1/10th of that. West region guys don't seem to realise how poor attendances are in other regions.

I counted 60 at Glenrothes v Kirrie Thistle on Saturday, which is including everyone outside the pitch, so also the committee members. That's no exception in the East Superleague this season, barring a few better supported teams.

In my view, it is time for the ambitious East Region junior clubs to move to the EoS, where there are new challenges on the pitch :  pyramid promotion, new sponsorship opportunities, chance to play against Lowland clubs in the south cup, rejoin former East junior colleagues, plan to get licensed for annual Scottish Cup entry, less travelling, under 20's league, higher attendances, etc.

This idea wont get in the North Sea and drown. Relevant as if it went through everyone gets bumped down a tier + LL & HL would have vacancies. LL gaps could get filled easy enough, HL less so

What has recently been posted over in the East of Scotland forum may be informative on this thread. With uncertainty remaining over Juniors participation in the Pyramid, marked by the polarised opinions of both sides, West Lothian and Fife clubs have a window of opportunity to guarantee Pyramid participation, should they wish it, by moving to the EoSFL.

The posts I have linked here set out just what the future might look like for those ERSJFA clubs south of the HL/LL boundary that are willing to grasp such opportunity and make the move that so many of their colleagues did in the summer. Access to the Pyramid is on offer, fluid movement up and down divisions is on offer and a healthy proportion of local football is on offer. As is stated by Black & Red Socks, a transitional season is likely to be needed and some tweaking of the regions too, but the chance is there for ambitious clubs to take control of their own destiny and make their own choices. Surely that chance is better than waiting for the SJFA to negotiate something unsatisfactory - or perhaps impossible - on their behalf or waiting for the ERSJFA to come up with a suitable league structure for those teams south of the Tay that is difficult to reconcile with the number of Tayside clubs populating their present top division?
