Cumbernauld Colts are the main tenants of Broadwood unless things have changed recently?

There has been talk for several months that they are looking at moving out of Broadwood. No idea how true it actually is but its been doing the rounds.

All the east hasn't gone. A minority of clubs has gone.

The EoS set up for next season is nothing at all to do with the PWG

Correct, as the EoSL and the other senior leagues do decide there own "set up"

However, its the PWG that will decide how a new West pyramid feeder league would be established, and my guess is that it won't agree the above SJFA  West/East Superleague proposal  .  It will be interesting to watch this space.

Alarm bells should be ringing at the west clubs they have a man trying to negotiate the future of the clubs and his sole interest is saving his job not what's in the best interests of the clubs. All these supposed proposals will end in nothing happening and him blaming everyone else.

With Craigroyston and Dunbar seemingly moving over it brings the number of Junior clubs below the LL dividing line to just 30, while the EoS will now have 28 clubs. A number of clubs are having last minute meetings before the EoS AGM, so the balance could tip in favour of the tier 6 league for next season.

If that happens, how can the SJFA go to an PWG meeting and argue that they should get access to tier 6 in the east?  Especially as only 1 of the Superleague clubs could actually be promoted to the LL, and 4 are above the dividing line.

How many of next season's tier 6 EOS clubs can actually be promoted to the LL?

Depends how many are licensed by 31 March 2019, if the LL opt to increase relegation to 2 places and who wins the SoS.

So either 0,1 or 2

4 at the moment, though we know that there's at least a couple of licence applications being processed by the SFA, and no doubt a few of the clubs moving over will be applying for one over the course of next season.

Dunbar Statement -

APPLICATION TO EAST OF SCOTLAND LEAGUE & AGM
As announced at our final home game of the season last Saturday, we can confirm that Dunbar United have made an official application to join the East of Scotland League for the 2018/ 2019 season. We have watched with great interest over the last few months as rumors of a mass exodus of clubs in the East Region turned into a reality. We also watched in disappointment that any attempt to stop the exodus and to preserve the integrity of the current league setup seemed at best reactionary.

Junior Football is in the DNA of Dunbar United and many great memories have been made over the last 90 or so years - no more so than 57 years ago to this very day when we proudly lifted the Scottish Junior Cup at Hampden. However, securing the long term future of the club and preserving these memories was of key importance to the current committee. The EoS League looks competitive and exciting, with an extremely high standard of teams, most of which are very local to Dunbar United. Our revenue relies on the support of the local community in sponsorship, advertising and of course gate receipts on match days. Local derby days play a big part in that, and within any new Junior Football setup we would not have a single local derby. These local derbies would have been instead replaced with more trips to Fife and Dundee, with an anticipated cost in the region of £6000 per season in buses alone. Instead we intend invest a portion of this figure into an application to become a fully licensed SFA member, and work to upgrade areas of New Countess Park to meet the requirements, which will be of benefit to both the club and the wider community. We do not believe we will need substantial improvements, and our facilities will we hope be a great asset to the East of Scotland Football Association.

Most importantly we want to progress as a football club, and build on the successes that have been achieved over the last few years by the current management team and players. We now look forward with great anticipation at what lies ahead, and to making many new memories along the way. While there remains no guarantee of gaining acceptance, we can only hope that our application is looked upon favourably by the current EoS Membership.

For all supporters, season ticket holders and sponsors we ask that you join us at our AGM on Thursday 31st May @ 7pm sharp. We will be using No5. Duke Street, where as well as the usual agenda items, we will be happy to talk in more detail regarding this potential move away from the Juniors.

East Region and SJFA getting thrown under the bus there.

Not particularly subtle there...

Licence requirements are not exactly stringent for entry to the LL, I'd expect every Junior team moving across will be able to meet them by the end of next season.

I would disagree with you on that mate. The financial side of things are scrutinised quite closely, and the process is onerous.

Hawick, Preston, Coldstream, Burntisland are licensed.

LTHV nearly there?

Blackburn, Dalkeith and Haddington applications are in progress.

Others will surely follow soon. Bonnyrigg, Dunbar and Easthouses  grounds are close to compliance - Newtongrange also, if they join. Tynecastle too with their move to Meggetland.

I'm sure all the clubs will have plans  - it's a positive move.

East Juniors have 1 licensed club, for now.

Coldstream instead of Stirling Uni Reserves - even if they were licensed they wouldn't be able to play in the LL.
