Junior football, what is the future?

Let's state some actual facts - of the 12 confirmed Juniors going to the EoS, most of the teams are currently involved in the top half the East Region. 3 current Superleague clubs, 1 ex-Superleague club, another which would be in a Superleague playoff place this season and 2 more in the top half of the Premier League.

Correct 4 teams have played in the Superleague the other 8 have played in lower leagues which is MOST of the teams

That's fair comment, I guess the structure can withstand more resignations. I doubt there will be too many more anyway, although there may be one or two.

Stick to the beazer league burnieman and plan your day trips to Eyemouth and Berwick

This has been promised for seasons

Fixture list to Xmas then what?

Why could they not figure out April and May 2018 and why is it into June again still playing league fixtures this season?

If the SJFA believes it is competent to affiliate to the pyramid it should provide a fixture list for the whole season with a commitment to complete by the playoff dates, as is required by the SFA.

Is it so hard to understand that there are good (LTHV / Leith / Hawick) and poor (Tweedmouth / Ormiston) EOS sides and there are good (East Superleague / top half East Premier) and poor (South division / amateurs) sides moving over? Yes, there will be both "dross" and good sides in the division, but that's the whole point of a transitional season. The "dross" sides drop into EOS Division 1 and the good sides form the EOS Premier (or whatever names the divisions will have from 2019). People who are pointing out that the likes of Bonnyrigg will thump teams like Tweedmouth with double figures might be right, but they are highly unlikely to be in the same division for more than one season. After one season, the better teams play each other and have the chance to move up to the LL, while the poorer sides can just enjoy their football at their level against each other. Exactly the whole point of a pyramid!

The teams defecting should form an EOS second division and work their way up

Does it really have to be pointed out ONCE AGAIN that teams like Blackburn are currently travelling to Kirriemuir which is not any difference.

The EoSL stated at the outset that junior clubs joining the league would enter at Tier 6. They have reached agreement with the existing EoS clubs that this will be the case for 2018/19.

One late applicant Craigroyston has announced its intention to join in 2018/19, and another club has also applied (name not announced). If the suggested 2x16 Tier 6 "conferences" is the primary aim, there are  still a minimum of 4 vacancies  at Tier 6 for next season. There are a number of other clubs who are apparently considering making a late application, with a few meetings scheduled.

75% of the clubs moving to the EOS have never been involved in a top division in junior football but they will still enhance the EOSemoji1.png

Sorry but that's a blatant lie and you know it is, no doubt you and your green dotter didn't even think to actually check what you've stated there.

But just so you know, you are quite clearly wrong - Camelon, Bonnyrigg, HOB, Mussy and Edinburgh have all been top flight clubs just in the Superleague era and Bonnyrigg are the most successful team in the superleague era.

0/10 - must try harder next time.

What don't you understand about the EOS moving to 2 divisions after a transitional season? The top 16 in the EOS looks like a more attractive league than what remains in the East Superleague, especially if Penicuik & Newtongrange Star are also moving over. The "dross" will end up in EOS Division 1 or something like that.

I thought we were discussing next season's East Superleague. I was comparing with next season's not so super EoS.  Are you wanting to compare next season's East Superleague with 2019-20 EoS?

You are the one only looking at next season. The teams moving over will look further ahead...

Yes, let's have a pyramid with the dross a division or two above the decent teams. You know it makes sense (in the wacky world of the EoS).

Think it's Dunbar that have announced it via an approved twitter account and Craigroyston are the second that are pretty much 100% known to be doing it but haven't formally announced it.

The Craigroyston twitter/facebook page refers to" their last game in the Juniors".

No I was definitely replying to a post about next season's East Superleague. You seem to be a bit confused.

He's the multiple ID troll who's not really interested in an explanation or a  debate, he's just here for a reaction. Ignore.
