"But it was on sale!"

Repeat ad infinitum.

My one pre-empts any complaints that I might have by saying "I wouldn't have paid x for it"

Thinks I zip up the fucking back.

I'm WFH from home today, its her day off. She's heading to the shops and asks if there's anything I want.

"You could get a couple of pies for lunch"

"OK what do you want?*"

"Depends what he's got. Chicken & mushroom or curry"

30 minutes later

"I got you steak and pepper. "

Did they not have the other types? Still sounds like a win.

Mine's the opposite - she takes weeks to decide on anything like that.

Time spent is the inverse of the value of an item.

House; "Yes, this is the one" as soon as she walks in

Car; 20 minutes in a couple of showrooms

Shoes; Two shopping trips over a couple of weekends, every shoe shop in town, multiple conversations with pals/sisters

My wife went for her shower this morning. As usual she put a spotify playlist on - we have a bluetooth speaker in there so you can hear it all through the house.

Kelly Clarkson's Christmas songs.

Underneath the Tree is class tbf

She's not letting you forget the Xmas present debacle, is she?

Hey, I smashed it last year. There was a little panic but the stuff all arrived on time.

Now my worry is that the expectation is there for future years.

I have no problem with the albums. As Christmas songs go, these are probably amongst the best. Underneath the Tree is fun and jaunty, and Glow on the new album is very, very good. The wife is welcome to use the month of December to play them on heavy rotation.

But for the remaining 11 months of the year, I'd rather forget all about these.

You know, the more I see of women, the more I think that there ought to be a law. Something has got to be done about this sex, or the whole fabric of society will collapse, and then, what silly asses we shall all look.

I'm having to work at my Grandparents-in-laws house today so needed the car this morning.  I'm only working til 1 as got a half day but we have a deadline of 1pm for some monthly accounts stuff.

We're due to be in Aberdeen for 2pm.  It's a 35 minute drive.  My plan is to leave here at 13:01.

"could you finish slightly earlier just to be sure we're in?"

People just lack boundaries. Really annoys me.
