So by your own logic, your football team actually plays in England. It is actually located in the Borders though. Thanks for playing anyway. Perhaps its time to consider merging sides together to create larger teams so we can actually get some competition in our league? Dundee + Dundee United + Abroath + Brechin City + Forfar Athletic + Montrose merging to create Dundee United - playing at Tannadice With those changes you would have created a good 10 teams who could compete for trophies and many of them would become huge UK clubs. Attendances would increase in the top league and we could reduce the number of total leagues to divisions of 12. This would make Scotland more competitive in Europe and in the transfer market. Could have at least put some imagination into that name like you did for the Renfrewshire Rovers, Highland Warriors or Borders Reivers (the fact that the teams you picked for the Borders Reivers are all in Dumfries & Galloway and not even in the Borders Region is the least of your complete stupity but needs noted) Just NO and do the world a favour and go live in a cave with no internet. QOTS + Annan + Stranraer merging to create The Border Reivers - playing at Palmerston None of these clubs come from the Borders and the distance between them is approximately 90 miles. I suspect this is a complete wind-up, because, otherwise it's a men in white coats situation for you!

Names are open to negotiation mate. The name Dundee United makes a lot of sense as we are literally uniting Dundee. I guess the Tayside Tigers is another option. I chose the Border Reivers as that is a really cool name for a football team.

Edinburgh City would instantly become a huge side with about 40k average attendance and they would also have a big transfer budget after selling Tynecastle and Easter Road. They would become constant title challengers and could push for CL group stage football imo.

Much larger clubs, much more competitive and also an 18 team top league which makes more sense than the 12 team 4x times a season madness we have now. In what way would they be larger. Your concept of an Edinburgh club would be lucky to attract 200 fans. It sure wouldn't attract any Hearts or Hibs fans.....

Logistics of distances between Dumfries/Annan/Stranraer and local pride are defeated by a geographically inaccurate 'cool name'. How about The Belted Galloways, and the can play in black with a white hoop to look like a Galloway cow. I alos prefer the Arbroath Smokies or Forfar Bridies over the Tayside Tigers. With the success they would have that could defo reach 40k+ on average.

The other cliché that's usually trotted out in this type of post is "Scottish football is an overloaded lifeboat". But who do you get rid of in an overloaded lifeboat? Half a dozen scrawny kids at the back, or the two fat b*****ds at the front hoarding all the food for themselves?

Your proposals would push thousands of fans away from the game, effectively killing the sport off in Scotland.
