Their record on the road in the playoffs has been brilliant. 9 X 3pts in that last quarter and holding Warriors to 0 for a good portion is fantastic stuff. Tatum only getting 12 as well so great work from the rest of the team. They really are a complete package

J_Stewart
I watched it yesterday afternoon before the Scotland game having managed to avoid the score. Steph Curry is a genuine freak of nature. The way that man finds space to get a shot in when there simply is none, or the way he moves constantly even though he’s injured, or the way he finishes at the rim at a billion miles an hour, all are insane. A one of a kind performer and a joy to watch.Think Warriors will take game 5, and then it’ll depend on whether or not game 6 Klay really truly is a thing or not. It’s going to be tight either way, Celtics are the better balanced team, and have had better performances from the supporting cast to take pressure off Tatum and Brown (who have both still been excellent), but when you have someone as good as Steph, that is capable of just blitzing teams on his own, it almost doesn’t matter.
Squalor Vic
Boston's record on the road is tremendous so there's still a chance. Curry is something else, the game 4 performance was nuts only to follow it with no 3 pointers in 133 games or something? I fancy Warriors to wrap it up now but. Curry will prob get MVP not sure if anyone else has stuck out. Jaylen Brown and Smart been good for Celtics

I also have a great deal of time for Steve Kerr.

J_Stewart
If anyone doubts Steph Curry after that, there’s no convincing them of anything. I also have a great deal of time for Steve Kerr. Top 10 all time and the greatest point guard there has ever been. His shooting is obviously the most elite in basketball history, but his movement, handles and finishing are almost just as good. He’s signed through until 2026 and with his skill set there’s still every chance he’ll be playing at a similar level. Delighted he got his FMVP after being robbed in 2015 too.Kerr is a thoroughly good lad (his rant about gun control and constant self-deprication / humility plenty of evidence) but most pleased for Klay and GPII. Klay wasn’t great throughout, but after the duration of his absence it‘s amazing he was playing at that level at all, and GPII’s story of going from basically unwanted for years to now a huge part of a championship winning team (and earning him his first major full time contract in the process) is just really heartwarming stuff.Delighted they won it, and with Wiseman back next year, Wiggins, Poole, GPII, Kuminga, Moodie, etc a year older and more experienced, they’ll be another strong contender with a squad that has been mainly drafted and developed.
Craig fae the Vale
St Mirren 42-87 Glasgow Rocks. No football this weekend so it was some Friday night basketball as the Scottish Invitational tournament began. No hiding who the professional team were tonight, but a lot of credit has to go to St Mirren for not letting their heads go down and fighting til the last buzzer. Will be back tomorrow for the first game and maybe the second if the wife can be persuaded.
Craig fae the Vale
St Mirren 93-80 Belfast Star. A good, competitive game in the Scottish Invitational. Belfast kept it interesting, but reigning Scottish champions St Mirren never really looked in any danger of losing.

Craig fae the Vale
Caledonia Gladiators 72-68 Cardiff Met Archers (AOT). Went to some first round WBBL Cup action tonight and what a game of basketball it was. Pulsating to the very end.

They demolished the Lakers on opening night. Curry and, in a losing effort, Lebron seemingly both put on masterclasses. The Draymond Green thing seems not to be an issue for the Warriors, although it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out when their backs are up against the wall.

I actually recorded it and watched it this morning before work. Warriors have so much depth. Steph was good without being incredible (his 3-point shooting was fairly rusty early on for example) abd yet still scored 33. They have scorerers everywhere. Poole, Kuminga, Moody and Wiseman could conceivably be the core of their team for 12 of the next 15 years, and all are capable of coming off the bench and producing. The latter 3 are a bit rawer than Poole, but have so much potential, which you have to think with the likes of Curry, Thomson, Green and Iguadala to learn from, and the way Kerr gives everyone minutes, they'll develop. The Draymond - Poole issue seems to have been dealt with pretty professionally, and by all accounts they were more pissed off that the video had leaked rather than the incident itself. Fair play to Poole, someone in his postion - talented, young, contract away to expire - could have kicked up a fuss, but seems to have been very mature about it all. Lakers are such a strange outfit. They've a glaring issue when it comes to 3-point shooting and spacing, but haven't seemed to do a huge amount to try and fix it. Lebron and AD were very good in spells and Westbrook looked like a former MVP at times and a park player at others. He's clearly been a brilliant player throughout his career, but some of his decision making is wild (stupid fouls like the one on Wiggins inbounding, air balling 3s, etc), especially when there's so much attention on him and so many people willing him to fail. I never thought it was a good fit, and it's pretty much proven not to be. Amazed they never traded him. In New York mid-November, so managed to get tickets for the Nets v Grizzlies game. Only one on in either Brooklyn or MSG while we're there, but could be a worse fixture tbf. Will be very interesting to see how KD, Kyrie and Simmons get on this year. All the ingredients of being outstanding, or a complete fucking shambles.
Craig fae the Vale
Ayr Storm 50-59 Glasgow Devils. An entertaining game and well worth the trip down the road. With various levels of basketball being played fairly locally most nights of the week, I'll be at a lot more games this season.
Craig fae the Vale
Found myself scheduling local basketball for the rest of the season. Really enjoy watching it live. Will probably take the Sonics coming back for me to properly get into the NBA though!
J_Stewart
There’re probably 6 or 7 players in the NBA right now that are just much better than everyone else. Luka is definitely one of those, and might even be the top of it. Watched their game this morning and he was unbelievable. This (and even more so) and Wob’s tweet below it are incredible. The oop off the glass after the spin move might be the best assist I’ve ever seen in a competitive game. Unreal.

He's class and will be in the running for MVP if Mavs make playoffs (which I'd be surprised if they didn't). Jokic won't win 3 years on the trot. Giannis could be in with a shout again though, depending on Sixers season you'll likely have Embiid in there, though they've started poor and Harden seems to be in the mood. Lakers started shit as well and they can't even tank to try and get Wembanyana in the draft cos Pelicans get their pick. Nae luck. All super early days mind you
