Whilst I’m naturally very excited to watch that trio after seeing some god awful nets teams since I’ve followed, I’m just not convinced it will work as it should. Irving seems to want to do anything but play basketball just now, a poor defensive team just got worse with the loss of Jarrett Allen and it’s 3 players who need the ball. Nets future has effectively been sold to win a championship in the next 2-3 years.

Hey folks, are there any NBA highlight shows or subscription packages around? My 10 year old son has just gotten into the sport over the last year but the live games tend to be on too late for him sadly.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

You can get the league pass which allows you too watch full games or highlights after the game has been quite, I find the service really good and I watch a lot of basketball now at my leisure, falling that and free there’s highlights for pretty much every big team on YouTube the next day, it’s about 10 minutes long and has all the best players which he might enjoy.

I enjoy basketball as a sport but it really doesn't work well in highlighted form. That's why I find it much easier to follow Euroleague where you don't need to stay up late to watch games. Plus you get much better atmospheres there than in the NBA.
Or the NCAA, see tomorrow's stars, today.

2 games in Harden and KD look incredible together on offence as expected, whatever happens with kyrie I think the nets are good enough to get to the finals since I started watching.

Changed times from staying up til 1am watching nets teams containing Jarrett Jack, Shane Larkin, Wayne Ellington and ancient Joe Johnson.

And the Rockets are going well without him - they're much more direct and a bit more exciting IMO.

Harden really took the pace out of the play, running the shot clock down with a slow walk up the floor before dribbling through his legs and then a step-back attempt - nothing more frustrating than watching him run the clock down, miss the three then get hit with a quick counter.

Would obviously take him back in a heartbeat.

Watching the knicks who have made the playoffs for the first time since Patrick ewing (not far off) - and there's a boy tre young dominating them. Looks like the hawks will progress but it's nice to see the knicks being (nearly) relevant again.

The Hawks have the bones of a very, very good team, and with with Trae Young and John Collins (no, not that one) both only 23 and Clint Capela only 27, they could potentially become a very big force for a very long time if they can keep them together.

Been some pretty decent playoff games so far. Steph is my favourite player to watch, but with GSW losing the play-in, Luka is probably second on that list, so hope the Mavs can progress, but Clippers are probably going to have too much for them over the series even with the fast start.

Only team I can see stopping the Nets is the Bucks tbh. KD, Kyrie and Harden are so good and they really only need two of them to be playing / playing well to win games.

38-35 in favour of Dallas after the first quarter. I remember back in the day defences used to step up in the playoffs and the refs let it get physical. This is entertaining but there's no intensity like back in the day with Shaq and Kobe, Duncan's Spurs, the Sheed-Rip-Wallace Detroit team and KG's Celtics.

Watched it last night as well, was a very entertaining game, but two things were obvious: at 22, Luka is already a top 5 player in the NBA, but also, Dallas 100% need to get him some help.

Much like Steph with the Warriors this year, without a consistent second option in attack, it basically falls to them to just magic something up, and a lot of times they do, because they're ridiculous, but that just isn't feasible every game for an entire season, especially when you're in the play-offs against defenders as good as Kawhi and Paul George. Whilst the Warriors should have Klay Thomson back next year, who, if even 50% the player he was before the long injury will be a threat and reduce some of the double teams on Steph, Dallas just don't have anyone in their squad that can do the same. Will need to get busy this summer.

Harden out again for the nets, really can’t get a run going with all 3 together. The worry for the nets will be Jrue and Middleton can’t be much worse than they were game one so will take a big game from Kyrie or KD to keep home adventage. Hopefully Harden is back sharpish or nets could have an early exit.

I’ve no idea who wins the west at this point, even after coming off a 7 game series and being the lowest seed the smart money is probably on the clippers, Nuggets won’t be able to make the finals with Jamal Murray out IMO and the suns are probably needing a bit more than CP3 has now. Could easily see all 4 series going to 7.

Porzingis was supposed to be that guy but he’s being used all wrong, he was basically only on the floor for spacing or defence in this series and he’s much more than that, can see him being traded away but Dallas won’t get anywhere near what they should for an asset like him.
