Always a good day out at Hampden.

Hope your players have that thought in their heads too, and those who are certain starters on the following Wednesday will be taking it easy and avoiding any 50/50 tackles or unnecessary exertion.

Former QP player Ian Maxwell appointed as SFA chief exec, which is very relevant to us given our current circumstances. Not sure how much difference it might make, given it’s still the same idiots who were there when Regan was.

QP's bid for dominance continues! Maxwell, the Scotland kit man, Malky Mackay and the best player in the international squad all starting off at the club that the SFA are doing their best to all but scud off the footballing planet. A touch ironic.

Ladbrokes League 1 play-offs

Wednesday 2 May, 2018
League 1 play-off semi-finals, 1st leg
3rd in League 2 v 2nd in League 2
4th in League 2 v 9th in League 1
Kick-off 7.45pm

I see the OS has it as Tuesday contrary to the SPFL. Desperately  hoping the club is wrong.

To be fair the sfa have wanted to get their mitts on Hampden for years. despite their protestations about the costs over the last few months, Hampden is a cash cow (even more so if the national team get their act together) and they know it.

If Hampden wasn't a financial winner, do you think that they'd be interested in buying it? They get millions for naming rights for the stand and from the catering people without lifting a finger. They'd get none of that if they moved elsewhere. It's all a big bluff that they'd move.

Interesting to hear that there was a bit of trouble as people struggled to get on trains at Haymarket after the event a Murrayfield at the weekend.

From the OS pre-match piece....Queen’s headed for the Ochil Hills and a clash with Stenny
There's a big river between Stenhousemuir and the Ochils. Who writes this stuff?

Lighten up ya big wuss...head for them but not into them. Have a couple of beers to dampen down the nerves.

Keep the Faith
