Next window we should line up a load of utter dross purely to get Aberdeen to spunk all their transfer cash signing them all before approaching our actual targets.

Evening #lads.

Current ICT, former Hibs player and all round lovely chap James Keatings did a wee pod with some ICT fans where he named his Best XI of players he's lined up with during his career. It's largely an Edinburgh select as you might imagine so have a listen and see what you think. Some good stories to be heard I'm sure.

You can get it on Spotify, Apple and Google podcasts as well.

Pretty highly thought of, only seen him in friendlies but he’s a big lad and he’s never really put a foot wrong in said friendlies, couple of good saves in the recent one against Celtic.

Probably better speaking to Cowdenbeath fans as he was there last season, he seemed to impress although he did get injured quite early on and not sure how often he played after that.

Jambos were talking him up after a Betfred game against them last summer.

We did that last summer with Ojo and it worked a fucking treat*, to be fair.

*Until we signed Josh Vela instead.

Fritz is fucking shite anyway. Bullet dodged, signed for MK Don's as they're paying him mega bucks. Wanted to go to Sunderland but ended up signing at MK for za moneyss.

Honestly you'd be as well just changing into black and white stripes .

Surprised he has got another premiership gig, let alone Hibs but his is just as valuable off the pitch as he is on it. Great leader.

Was gutted when he was released but I am relieved he hasn't signed for a relegation rival.

Think he’ll be a back up and has been doing some coaching with us.

hopefully we sign another midfielder.

Heard rumours of a player/coach role before.

Wouldn't have expected him to be a starter for Hibs after seeing him toil last season when he managed to get a game. Played through a lot of injuries with us though, I think they have caught up with him over the years.

Still sexy af and a McGinn. Delighted for him as he has a newish born too, glad he got himself a brilliant gig.

Pleased for Stephen McGinn but I think he's absolutely done at Premiership level unfortunately. I thought he was well off the pace in the 2018/19 season, never mind last season.

Would still rather have him now than Nathan Sheron though.

Another McGinn signed ffs

Set complete.

While we are talking about McGinns, Paul has been fantastic since he signed. A really solid player who has chipped in with a few assists as well. He really surprised me.

Never under estimate what Mrs McGinn's fanny has done for Scottish football!

As I said in the St Mirren thread, with the number of subs you can have, no harm in having someone who can come on as a late sub, sit deep in the midfield and calm down/see out a game.

Not too unhappy at that really, if he's there to cover Gogic as the deep lying midfielder (albeit of a different sort) for injuries/suspensions then no bother, good guy to have around.

Still need one more in there. Does anyone know Ron Gordon's address? I would like to send him a photograph of Alan Campbell, not that he'd sign for us regardless of money.

McGinn and Doig have taken away any fear I had on fullbacks, with a better rested gray and Stevenson on standby. Got the goalie to sit on the bench. With Jackson away another centre half needed or it's Gogic in there. James and Hallberg (hate to do it but there's only room for one him or Newall in the squad) hopefully can get moved on. Murphy for Horgan I'm happy enough with. Glad to see Mallan will probably get game time, Allan has been poor (which I remember @JamesM82 saying this situation may be an issue as a diabetic) but still class on his day. 2 good strikers, Martin Boyle for cover and a youngster who'll do fine is ok.

So that's one dynamic midfielder, a centre back and, if county are willing to be generous, 1 Ross Stewart away from a very good, sustainable squad.

A lot of young and prime players, there's natural wastage through retirement/end of contract coming that will free up wages to replenish as we go, 3-5 sellable assets probably in the squad. More than decent manager. Could be happy days ahead for a bit (sorry I've gotten hopeful again).
