Regardless of any deal with Hibs we would get 3.75% solidarity payment anyway. At those prices that would be 1.8m before anything else from Leith.

Go on United - push the boat out! But remember, he's not good enough to get in Celtics midfield...

Explain how you get 3.75%? You've been paid 750k-1m already.

It's a Fifa thing about spreading the wealth. Basically the first 10 years of a players development are split and wherever club the player was at for those times get a cut. We had him for 7 of those 10 development years so get 0.5% for each year.

So 3.5%, not the 3.75 typo I did earlier.

Over and above any agreement with Hibs.

Nice one for you then. No doubt he goes for huge money either this window or another.

Annexe 5 of the regulations state:

Solidarity contribution
If a professional moves during the course of a contract, 5% of any
compensation, not including training compensation paid to his former club,
shall be deducted from the total amount of this compensation and distributed
by the new club as a solidarity contribution to the club(s) involved in his training
and education over the years. This solidarity contribution reflects the number
of years (calculated pro rata if less than one year) he was registered with the
relevant club(s) between the seasons of his 12th and 23rd birthdays, as follows:
– Season of 12th birthday:     5% (i.e. 0.25% of total compensation)
– Season of 13th birthday:     5% (i.e. 0.25% of total compensation)
– Season of 14th birthday:     5% (i.e. 0.25% of total compensation)
– Season of 15th birthday:     5% (i.e. 0.25% of total compensation)
– Season of 16th birthday:    10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation)
– Season of 17th birthday:    10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation)
– Season of 18th birthday:    10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation)
– Season of 19th birthday:    10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation)
– Season of 20th birthday:    10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation)
– Season of 21st birthday:     10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation)
– Season of 22nd birthday:    10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation)
– Season of 23rd birthday:    10% (i.e. 0.5% of total compensation)

Mulumbu freed by Celtic, I'd go and get him before the Jambos pick him up.
Can people please stop perpetuating this Mulumbu myth please. I heard he has retired, move along.

I think they call it an undeserved bonus, m876.
ETA for him obviously, not to benefit the team, heaven forbid the Poundshop, Poundshop Daniel Levy would do such a thing to benefit the club who pays his wages and bonuses.

This McGeough to Aberdeen rumour is giving me the absolute fear.

It sounds like a certainty. They were going to make him their highest paid player last summer. I’d have had him back but not sure how he’d fit in with a midfield of Mallan and Allan.

The thought gives me the boak. I would honestly punt Mallan if there was a chance to bring Dylan back and we could only have one of them. The classiest midfielder we’ve had for years imo. His injuries and lack of athleticism will always hamper him but on his game he’s a joy to watch.
