I didn't know that - but I also hasn't realised that O'Rourke had played at Hibs from such a young age.  BTW, what was the feeling among the Hibernian Loyal when he was replaced by the enigma that was Joe Harper?  Careful what you say now lest you make @kingjoeygreet.

Disappointed !

Sad Inside Out GIF

Huge pressure on the board to get quality signings in Januray.

Think we will struggle now, wouldn’t be surprised if we end up in the relegation play-offs.

Dunno if we are going down but I wouldn't be surprised if we struggle especially after Porto likely goes in January.

If we even end up in the bottom 6 with the budget we have,  that is a stunning indictment on the way things have been run at ER for the last 2 years.

Really don’ trust Ian Gordon to get a quality replacement in. We will end up signing a youngster on loan from Swansea.

Heard he's over there in a hospital himself. Wife not able to get in and see him because it's such a backwards country.

Nightmare for the lad.

I was looking for news on how he is doing and stuff on twitter from fans of (not Aberdeen) other teams is pretty awful. Some people are just absolute kunts.

Be the usual cretins with Rangers or Hearts badges on their social media accounts.

Just seen it. Some obscure ones like Motherwell too?

Suppose the only decent outcome is if you can get a good loan in for a few months. I'm guessing FIFA cover his wage, which is probably pretty high in relative terms.

No sure about that, afaik he was injured when he went there - he had to go off v St Mirren and never reappeared for us.

Surely didn't travel with a misdiagnosed ACL?!

Don't know full detail, but...........the original scan and the one in Manchester (for Oz team) both came back with the specialist saying it was a slight meniscus tear. This is apparently common in players and can sometimes clear up itself, although you can have a bit shaved off to speed up recovery.

So he went over in the hope it would sort itself out.

Once MB failed the fitness tests in Qatar, he went into the (excellent) facility there to have the meniscus shaved.

When the doc looked inside the knee, he saw the ACL rupture - it hadn't "gone" at that point, but they made the decision to fix it there and then.

I still think we have a chance of third..........bottom😬
