Both managers in the league were P4, W1, D0, L3. Stubbs got St MIrren into the second round of the League Cup. Goodwin didn't. What a minter for the Paisley lads. They go on about Stubbs' time at St Mirren as if he was the antichrist, and yet he performed better than their biggest club legend did in the same timeframe. I'm reliably informed, by @Demented Zebra, that Jim Goodwin is their best manager since Alex Ferguson...
buddie06smfc
St Mirren fans' insistence that Alan Stubbs is a bad manager makes me feel very warm and cosy. It saves a lot on heating bills on these cold November nights. Thanks lads. We never really had him long enough to judge him as a manager however he is terrible at recruitment. The signing of Brock-Madsen more than merited the sack. He was up against it from the start following Jack Ross. It was like Moyes following Ferguson at Man Utd. Two large clubs at whom the manager couldn’t quite handle the pressure that comes with.

Scott Allan. "Terrible recruitment." John McGinn. "Terrible recruitment." Dylan McGeouch. "Terrible recruitment." David Gray. "Terrible recruitment." Liam Henderson. "Terrible recruitment." Fraser Fyvie. "Terrible recruitment." Dominique Malonga. "Terrible recruitment." Marvin Bartley. "Terrible recruitment." Darren McGregor. "Terrible recruitment." An all-star cast of Stubbs' best Hibs signings would fist St Mirren's all time best XI mob to death.
buddie06smfc
Yet it took Neil Lennon to get that team of superstars out of the second tier of Scottish football. Doesn’t say much for yer man Stubbs.

Your closest challengers were a fucking shopping centre.

D Angelo Barksdale
Did Strachan not compare paedo's to black people or something recently ? He's clearly cancelled and therefore ineligible for the Hibs job.

He claimed that people who would verbally abuse Adam Johnson if/when he plays football again are as bad as people who racially abuse black players. Hes also pretty happy being Head of Youth at Dundee, a job he took about two months ago. @weetoonlad is an absolute, complete, fucking slaver, who incredibly rocks up in every single thread about a manager with apparent ITK knowledge which is debunked within 10 minutes, before reappearing about 3 days later to start parenting what other people are saying.

Putting the St Mirren debacle aside, as well as failing to get you promoted, there’s also the 5 month shit show at Rotherham as a black mark against him. There seems to be far more evidence that he’s a diddy than not.
