Alan Stubbs Posted August 15, 2019 Share Posted August 15, 2019 Big end of the transfer window needed for us. For all of their faults, Stubbs and Lennon both developed a culture (hate that term in football but canny think of an alternative) of combative, competitive teams. Both had ropey spells where confidence was low but I never once worried about getting properly battered in big games under them. Its scary how quickly Heckingbottom has managed to destroy that. He needs to start getting signings right or we’ll be spending years overhauling a squad of crocked old players and wee spice boys. I’m a fan of Mallan but he’s not going to dominate next to Vela and Allan. It should be Vela with a new signing and Allan in front of them.
