That doesn’t really mean anything, he’s still under contract so obviously he’s going to be on the retained list.

It's not obvious in that the length of the Sunderland contract hasn't apparently been disclosed, and some folks thought that it was a one-year deal. If it was, then the fact he's been retained would be very significant.

First I’ve heard of people thinking he signed a 1 year deal.

Snifter Pee Rot
I see Killie are making a safe standing area, isn't it time Hibs filled in one of the corners for same? Preferably the one next to old East and FF.

The Grass Is Greener.
I’d rather money was spent on the team than filling corners.

Surely if the last few seasons have taught us anything it's that what matters isn't the team on the park but the size of the crowd. We should really go for it and put a crane in the corner with a hot tub suspended from it or something innovative like that....
Zing.
Few rumours (probably shite) that STF/Petrie have sold their shares in the club.

HibsFan
Hope we don't go to the way of the diddy Dundee clubs and raise prices/talk about moving to a new sooper stadium.
Victor von Doom
Big thread about this takeover on Miggsnet just now. Barclay brothers being named by someone on the thread as the source of the "investment" Poster must be on the wind-up, but I'd almost accept Celtic winning 10 in a row if the trade-off with Mephistopheles was the Spoonburners being acquired by a pair of basketcases like the Barclays. You'd be better off accepting "investment" from a Rathkeale-based consortium. At least a bunch from Rathkeale would be able to tarmac the site once the "Leith San Siro" has been sold and demolished... which is the only reason the Barclays would get involved.
