SandyCromarty
Pre Scottish Cup friendly and shakedown announced as world beaters Dungannon Swifts, this is appropiate given Celtics Irish background that the Swifts are based in Northern Ireland so the game should give us a good insight as to how Celtic will shape up?? Hopefully the Swifts will turn out in a Celtic strip so as to add some realism.

ICTChris
Didn’t realise Dean Shiels is manager at Dungannon.

TheScarf
We apparently huffed and puffed our way to a 2-0 win over HL jobbers Nairn County last night.
PB1994
Not really arsed about the results or performances of these friendlies tbh. Keeping them with some sort of match fitness is the only aim here.
TheScarf
The fact we're having to fanny about trying to arrange a game with fucking anyone who may be semi competent and isn't on the beach yet has to be a big black mark against Dodds and the fact he made a cunt of the league campaign.
Juanjo Nostalgia
Does anyone know the best way to take home a corner flag from the cup final? Asking for a friend…

NorthStand10
Partick Thistle hitting Ayr and Queens Park for 8 should lay to rest any opinion that we had the best team, we didn’t sadly. Edited May 26, 2023 by NorthStand10
PB1994
It just shows what a difference having a competent manager in charge can actually make.

Partick were doing okay but probably underperforming. They made a bold call and got their rewards. Shame we didn't have the stones to follow suit although that's easy to say in hindsight. And I suppose there's no guarantee that appointing Ross Tokely would have got us where Partick are now.

Aye that’s very true. It was very much a call that could have gone either way, from the outside anyway. I was more making the point that having one of the best squads in the league doesn’t really count for much of the man in charge isn’t good enough. Partick is a perfect example of it.
SandyCromarty
During the league campaign Tiffoney suffered with injuries and missed a bunch of games,(injury crisis),on his game as he was last night, and teamed with Graham, he is unstoppable, he was the difference between the two teams. If it's RC in the final it will prove a harder game for Pertick but easier if it's Killie. Seems as if McAlear's career has stumbled with Ayr as he was hardly in the game and was subbed as he was in the first game. Rumoured Bullen was in the frame for Dundee, unlikely now after that result. Edited May 27, 2023 by SandyCromarty

If we’d sacked Dodds in either of the bad runs it likely wouldn’t have made much of a difference, he has a habit of turning it around and starting great runs that would be difficult for any new manager bounce to surpass. Like you said it’s easy with hindsight. We would’ve had to sack him very early in the bad runs, which in his first season would’ve seemed ridiculous considering we were top / close to it at the time and this season with all the injuries I think while we might’ve done slightly better, we weren’t going to win much more with that team, fine margins. (Injury crisis deniers don’t read the second half of the second paragraph)
Wildrover
Has Dodds done that bad for you guys?, you had a lot of injuries, got you to the Scottish cup final and he nearly got you to the play offs, would have thought that wasn't too bad???
