No and it's certainly not to early to call for change so I'll do exactly that, its time for Billy Dudds to go because he is way out his depth!

Given the nepotism around the club, unless there's a mini-bus leaving with the directors too then he's going nowhere.

Cant wait for the rugby to f**k the pitch this early in the season then spend the rest of the coming month with less favourable weather trying to repair and catch up, spending at least all if not more than the money we get for this. All the time looking embarrassed in the background at how we mocked the Maryhill Thistle for having a tattie field last year.

Suppose it may give a long term excuse for shite hoofball tactics

The rugby has been cancelled, Worcester went into admin.

Last night was terrible. I was saying to a couple of people, we’ve signed guys who are versatile and can play in different positions but we have ended up without any real specialist full backs, we don’t seem o know where the best place to play some of our best players is - Roddy MacGregor for example. There also players who have been really poor so far this season, Allardice has looked slow and ponderous and hasn’t imposed himself on games.

I can genuinely see us doing a Dunfermline and getting relegated this season. We are appalling bad defensively and have no idea about who are best back four is. We miss Broadfoot’s experience, none of the defenders organised themselves properly or communicated well last night. Without Samuels we looked one paced.

I'd stick with Barry Wilson and Scott Kellacher though with Tommy Wright as the manager, he's experienced and tbh can't be any worse than Dudds!

Why? By many accounts Barry Wilson’s coaching is pretty poor.

The jury is still out on Dodds for me.  He does seem to be willing to make an early change which is in steep contrast to almost every other manager we've ever had (it was rare for Butcher or Brewster to make a change before the 85th minute!).  He does seem quite tactically naive though - we seem to want to try to play good football and it's common that we start games that way before the opposition wakes up after ten minutes and we then resort to constant long balls.  If we go behind it's panic stations - one game last season we ended playing 3-2-5!  Other times it seems like he hasn't realised that tactics have moved on since he was a player.  We started last season playing a 4-2-4 (yes, a 4-2-4!) but gradually last season and this it's become more like a 90s-style 4-4-2 with punts down the wings for fast players to run onto.  It's sooooo 1998.

We've needed another midfielder for ages and another right back since Rooney left two years ago - there's no natural right back in the squad whatsoever.  Instead we're top heavy with centre-backs and forwards.

I'm not joining the chorus of people calling for Dodds to go yet but I could be soon but it will be with some degree of resignation that I have absolutely no faith in the board to replace him effectively.  Caley Thistle have always been a jobs-for-the-boys outfit but all that changes is whose boys it is.  The current Gardner/Robertson regime (when they aren't busy telling sob stories and blowing a million on Duran Duran) is the cliquiest board we've ever had.  If Dodds goes his replacement will be someone like Gary Locke, John 'Bomber' Brown or some other jobber.

Just back from a game worth watching with Valenciennes beating Nimes 3-2, end to end stuff for the 90, Ligue 2 yet as good as we get in the Scottish Premier, excellent stadium with plentiful refreshments throughout the game and a noisy fanbase to add to the game.

Curiously though when the first Val goal went in up went a large banner at the front with four various flags together and the bottom one was the union flag?

It would be remiss of me not to thank you for turning up with your recurring regime change post.

As soon as I read it, I just knew everything would be well and peace would prevail in the glens.

I think Dodds will pull it together. Early days this year and will put a run together. No team looks like running away with it.

Based on what evidence?

Last year showed that he built a team that stumbled its way into a play-off incapable of competing with Premiership opposition. We have already had a gubbing off Motherwell this season and stumbling along in the league again (early doors or otherwise). Nothing to show any improvement, to increase expectations of fans and show that he has the management knowledge to change tactics and provide a dynamic platform for success.

We will make the play-offs again I'm pretty sure but, is that success or just papering over the vast cracks around the club that are appearing?

Maybe I should have phrased that differently.

I think he's doing a grand job.

Charity begins at home, on County's present form, with one win in 6 and a -7 GD you'll be back with us next season in the championship.

Quit playing wi yer Aunty's fanny and learn to behave sensibly.
