That thought did cross my mind. We have been banging on about how much our budgets are being cut etc for the last 18 months and now we are buying players, no matter how nominal the fee is it suggests we have some cash freed up for it. Edit - it may also have something to do with our stands finally being handed back to the club. Weirdly, we had some fans who couldn't stand him for some reason (mainly because he wasn't Russell Latapy).Especially when Latapy was the complete opposite.
