Actually, the fans that have stayed have been pretty good to the club over the years.  I think the club not making the first move in regards to refunds for the unused games last season and also asking for a donation is quite cheeky.

The club had said if you want a refund you will get one. I’d be hoping nobody would be asking for a refund and would pay full price for this years season ticket if they are able to do so.

The club needs as much help as it can get and the more money the fans can give the better players we will have on the park next season.

The club should be the ones offering it directly, not telling fans to contact them.  I have heard some talk that the refunds are actually paid out by an insurance company - I'd be more inclined to take one if that was the case but again, the club should be contacting the fans directly not waiting for them to call in the hope they don't.

Aren’t all of our staff who would deal with that on Furlough? Trying to contact 1500 or so people directly is a pretty big task. They’ve released a statement saying please get in touch and we will refund the money, if there are people that desperate for the refund they will get it. Seems a very minor thing to be criticising them about.

Other clubs have done it.  I just think it's quite cheeky to ask people to contact the club themselves as it's a ploy to minimise the amount that do and then guilt trip people into making a "donation".    I won't be contacting the club for a refund, but I find the attitude from the club once again quite off-putting.

I think the missing games work out to roughly £75 (ish) of your season ticket. I'm content for the club to retain that as a goodwill gesture but I am not in a position to give them a double donation so when I get a season ticket I will be paying whatever it is for the North Stand and no more.

I've had a season ticket for the last ten seasons, been to almost every cup game home and away and you could probably count on one hand the home games I've missed in that time.  I think I've been pretty good to the club over the years.  I know the club needs money (though that seems to be a never ending spiral), but this attitude that the fans are simply cash cows is becoming quite grating.

You haven't thought this through have you?

I suggest you flip your thinking to the positive and embrace the socialist construct that must shirley underpin us.

Trafford has signed for Accies. I don't think any ICT fan was overly fussed when he left. Seemed like a nice guy I guess but an utterly nothing player.

Seemed to improve a bit the more he played but would be more concerned to see Carson leave. Don't think he has enough for the premiership.

The rumour is that Meekings is heading back to you.

I'd be happy with that.  I'm not usually a fan of looking backwards, but I reckon he'd be a good signing, even if he's not as good as he once was.

Meekings was a brilliant player for us but from what I've seen about his time at Dens he's been badly affected by injuries.  He's probably a better option than most of our current defenders though.

He turned into the type of player that suddenly got quite good just as his contract was expiring. He's been at Dens what 2-3 year? He's played possibly a handful of games where he's looked really good. Will be remembered as an absolute bomb scare overall. Only looked completely competent when Berra was marshalling him for our last 5 games. Dallies far too much on the ball and not great in the air.

I've absolutely no doubts he'll be like pre-injury Meekings wherever he goes next though.

So between Meekings, Ross, Williams and Vincent (any one else?) did any of our former players look decent for the Dees? Quite bizarre how so many players look excellent for us yet as soon as they move on they turn into utter diddies. Don't know if they are under less pressure or something at ICT but we do seem to have a knack of getting the best out of a lot of players.
