TheScarf
They never really work out as the standard over there is so shit. They always look to be overweight and have the touch of an elephant.
Highland Capital
Liam Boyce was a great signing for Ross County. He'd been around full time football before but it did take him a while to get going.
Pulp
I’m not upset about this at all. If anything I’m delighted we got money for him.
TheScarf
He's a bit of anomaly as he played in Germany for a few years. Clearly he got better playing out there alongside better players and for better coaches.

Highland Capital
I see McCauley was once apparently on loan at Celtic...from Derry City. Surely not!?

Remarkable how a 'keeper can go from being so consistent to that state. I alluded to this in one of my previous posts on here, but Mark Brown was brilliant for us. In terms of shot stopping he was excellent and he played a ridiculous amount of consecutive games for us (175 or something). We sold him to Celtic (with many thinking he'd become number 1 after Boruc left) but he barely got a game and never rekindled the form he had with us at the numerous clubs he was at afterwards. He wouldn't have been able to save a miss-hit Panenka if he stood still but other than that, for us, an outstanding keeper.
TheScarf
Did I fall asleep for 2 years? I just checked and Mark Brown played for County? Totally don't remember that.
Highland Capital
Assuming we don’t lose anymore players by my count we need maybe another central midfielder, a winger and a striker, maybe two. As things stand we’re pretty covered defensively and we certainly don’t need another keeper.

Can’t see us getting another striker if we are playing one up top, though is white and keatings are being played as a pair I agree. We are covered defensively but I’m not convinced about the quality we have. McKay is garbage and McHattie hasn’t covered himself in glory (which makes it more surprising we offered him a deal). We need more at the back but I don’t think we will be doing any business back there.

He battled with Fraser to be our #1 for a time. He was alright, would not leave his line to catch a corner or free kick if you paid him and from memory his kicking wasn't great. Where Fraser was decent, Brown wasn't and vice versa.
ICTChris
I think Mark Brown is one of those players who was excellent for one club and then didn't really reach those heights with any other.

I'd still like to see one more striker coming in regardless.

TheScarf
Moving to Celtic or Rangers stops careers dead in their tracks 9 times out of 10. You'd think players would learn, but they see the pound signs and sign instantly. Fair dos but it rarely works out.
SandyCromarty
Christie has done all right so far at Celtic, his facial injuries he suffered in the cup semi has put his game on hold for the time being, and Hayes is seems to be getting regular games these days under Lennon.
