ADL Season 17/18

Was just wondering what happens at the end of the season can managers and players etc just walk away then ? I know in the past players contracts ran out but they still couldn't move unless they were bought ?

The main difference between a manager and a player is that the player is registered, so even if he walks away from his contract he can't play for another junior club until his current club agree to release his registration.

Mangers are not registered, therefore can go to another club and take up a post and it's just a matter of agreeing compensation afterwards. Don't know who arbitrates if agreement can't be reached.

For a good example of this just follow the managerial career of George Grierson [emoji2]

Whitletts have added a couple of new faces. A young 17yo striker from Stranraer, Ross George and a midfielder from Oban Saints amateurs Conner Howe

Is Dalry v Darvel in the West Cup tomorrow at Merksworth (as Dalry's tweet two days ago about U14s getting in free and the pitch looking OK, seems to imply) or at Inverclyde Largs as both the SJFA West fixture list and the SFA Referees' Appointments listings have it?...

Thanks.

I just hope the the likes of Craigmark and Lugar etc can keep hold of there players if they do go up.

This may sound a silly q but do junior managers sign contracts ??. Always wondered how it works ?

I doubt Craigmark will be able to keep ahold of Gallagher this year never mind the players after the season their having

Telling you!!! He’ll be at Cumnock next year helping Peter Leonard and most of your players will be poached by clubs like Whitletts, Irvine Vics & Maybole that can give them more money so enjoy it while it lasts!!!!!!!

Craigmark have several good players including the full back Lamont.  If they go up that will be the incentive.Playing in the second top tier will keep them at Dalmellington. The run in for all the teams involved is going to be difficult
