Linlithgow Rose 2017-18

I think the lack of posting on this thread this year speaks volumes of the steps the club have taken both on and off the park.

Of course, results go a long way to helping but we're all heading in the right direction.

Junior specky was mascot yesterday and the committee couldn't do enough for us before and during the game, whilst the squad all took time to speak to him before the game and make him feel welcome.

Well done all concerned.

Tommy Coyne will be making his 300th appearance this Saturday at Tayport.  He's also closing in fast on Davies Blaikie's record of 273 goals. TC has 269 goals from 299. What amazing goals to games ratio.

Well done TC a genuine Rose Legend.

A bit of confusion over his tally last season! He's actually on 272. One short of matching the record. Would be fitting if he were to achieve both this weekend given that his purple patch (which has run ever since!) really got going under Davie Baikie's leadership.

Make your mind up - it was your post I copied lol

Either way a very healthy return - is that all goals or just the ones against the Beggars?

Quite looking forward to the game on Saturday.

Tayport short of bodies last Saturday actually probably then put in their best shift of the season in terms of raw effort. They now have a decent core of a team. Unfortunately still too much "peel" making up the 11.

If the lithgy I saw at lochee turn up though it will be no contest.

There actually were a few shenanigans about this fixture that you chaps would be unaware of.

It was originally scheduled the day you played bod in the big Scottish. Nobody officially told tayport the game was postponed, which led to a tasty war of word between Baikie and John Reilly.

Even the local press was still promoting the match.

Not sure if anyone actually turned up, but it is possible.

Although conditions were terrible we made hard work of what should have been a stroll.

We huffed and puffed and never really got going.

Lugar played direct which was the correct approach given the glue pot of a park.

In the hat is probably the highlight from today

A big thank you to the Lithgy bus who were coming to Lugar Bowling Club then didnt appear after phoning to say they would be 10mins

Not sure who you dealt with - but I know the supporters club booked their buses into the Mauchline Killie supporters club.

The BC didn't run a bus to this game. So whoever you spoke to was independent of the club.

But agree if they phoned and failed to appear that's not nice.

You’ve only got the word of a (part-time) Rose supporter to go on at the moment. However, even if the no-show-bus was independent of the club, I would suggest that as a gesture of goodwill and sportsmanship, the Rose should compensate Lugar Bowling Club for their efforts. There’s no debating that it’s the right thing to do.

You throw shite at people, degrade the homeless in front of your kids and invent people called Tony.  When it comes to advice on the right thing to do, you're the last arsehole on pie and bovril that anyone ought to pay attention to.

And the gif patter died on its arse seconds after you used it the first time. Up your game.

What a complete cretin!

If it's independent of the club why are the club liable? Auld heid will know if the boolin club had ran a bus as he has contacts there and you've already been told where the official supporters busses were booked into.

Wouldn't put it past some beggars being at the wind up with Lugar bc just to be spiteful.

Anyway just to paraphrase your rubbish gifs "it's all about the rose" with you. Your team are in a relegation mire, you've a hard scottish tie to try and get past Christmas for the first time this century and all you can do is spout rubbish on this thread? Sad sad individual !!!!

Can you can point out exactly where I said “the club are liable”? Also, as I’ve already told Auld Dunderheid, I haven’t actually posted any gifs, but keep up not being bothered.

What a state to get yourself in over nothing![emoji1]

Disgraceful behaviour.
