Subs all came on and contributed which is pleasing given how threadbare we are at present.Shout out to Daz who following a couple of recent mistakes was in the form we all know he is capable of producing.Tough one next week against KRR. BeverleyHills Posted February 15, 2018 Share Posted February 15, 2018 Saturday 17th February away to KRR ( Guys Meadow Stadium) Our club will be open from 12 noon,full beverage and food available and I am sure we will have a wee Scottish Cup Special on offer. Specky Posted February 17, 2018 Share Posted February 17, 2018 Three up playing good stuff and then the tempo dropped which allowed Rabs into it. Won't go all beggar and blame the ref but I think he missed the centre half man handling roddy when breaking clear and then the ball goes up the other end where they get a soft free kick from which they get their first goal and confidence. Auld Heid Posted February 17, 2018 Author Share Posted February 17, 2018 Wow - what a game....!! Firstly congratulations to Rob Roy on an excellent fight back. The first 20 minutes we were immense 3-0 up and cruising. Roddy misses one on one and the linesman fails to flag the assault on Roddy - Rob Roy go up the park a score from a free kick. The dynamics of the game changed totally. 2nd Half, Hill throw a suicide ball to Shields a bad touch a foul and 2nd booking and we are on the back foot for the last 20 minutes. Nothing on the bench to change a game and our threadbare squad is coming back to haunt us. Our only sub was forced by injury or the chances are they wouldn't have been any changes. Roddy unplayable for 20 minutes then a miss and the foul on him by the centre half and he fell out the game. Far to often we were caught narrow with no one covering the full backs if they were caught up the park and a ball into the space caused us problems all day. Hill just doesn't inspire any confidence in me whatsoever and to often he played us into trouble with his distribution. 1st defeat since August doesn't make us a bad team overnight - we regroup and go again. A think this game will take a while to get over especially after the way we through it away! The first 20 odd minutes was a joy to watch but after that is was a hard watch! Losing goals like we lost today won’t win you Scottish cups! Was willing to give hill a chance but he needs emptied soon and we need to bring a few more players in if we want to win anything this season!
